  1. Hull will get at least a point against Stoke. As I said in another thread, Hull v. Stoke is one of the most important games to NUFC that have occurred in the last 19 yers. Hull are in absolute freefall; Stoke need the points to confirm survival. I have faith in Tony Pulis's bruisers and if Faye can sink a header against those orange and black bastards I'll consider him forgiven for scoring twice against us.
  2. We remain on course for escape, which is good. Hull might well not get another point this entire season but it won't make any difference if we can't beat Boro.
  3. Blame the men who were chosen, not the one who chose them? The buck stops with Ashley.
  4. I have faith in Stoke to beat Hull. I'm much more concerned with our odds of beating Boro.
  5. In fairness if you'd offered 3-0 before kickoff I think I would've taken it.
  6. Here's the 'quality' from Barton: 'Toxic atmosphere' jibes in December 2007. McDonald's assault. Six months jail time. Six-game ban with another six now likely to follow. Quarrel with Agbonlahor. Bollocking Enrique at Blackburn for no discernible reason. Another injury and now a season-ending red after injuring Alonso. 33 appearances, 3 assists, 2 goals, 5.8 million. I'm sure I don't have to mention that he has made fewer appearances and contributed considerably less than Viduka who is regularly bemoaned as a fat lazy Aussie. Thanks Fat Sam for burdening us with this animal.
  7. Straight red you dullard. Jesus Christ would've been sent off for that, never mind Joey Barton. EDIT: Unless you were being ironic.
  8. Anyone still want to defend this thug? Anyone still think he's worth it? He's played his last game in black and white now and gone out in a manner befitting him.
  9. Another amazingly obvious one ignored. I'd like to see us take a shot at some point this half.
  10. Probably the most quiet match thread I've ever seen, there's just nothing to say.
  11. Should've stuck with Roeder tbh.
  12. Lovenkrands off, Jonas on. Damage control lads.
  13. Now we'll get a goal on the stroke of halftime, come back at 2-1 thinking we're still in it, and then they'll get 3 in the second half.
  14. Now the mission is to keep it at 2. Of course I doubt these wasters we send out in black and white every week have the bottle for it, so they'll just switch off and we'll get pummelled.
  15. Duff looks to be playing left back, I think? Looked composed for the first 10 or so minutes, too bad all it takes is one goal for us to go to pieces.
  16. So he did the deed after all. Wise man. But what is 'the hair' doing back in the starting XI, I thought we'd seen the last of him...aaaghh! 3-0 or worse to them I suspect. One to watch from behind the couch
  17. Oh, the third kit we've worn once this season and will likely not need in the Championship either?
  18. sign of a great manager, knew he'd be at rovers 18 months later and planned their great escape early by astutely signing the worst players possible on the biggest contracts with absolutely no resale value to ruin a close rival.............forward thinking paying off big time. he must be a great manager if he managed to build such a strong bolton side that even after 18 months of gary megson can't get relegated sign of a mediocre troll: this post.
  19. That doesn't sound too bad, actually, if only he actually planned to sell. Isn't he? Thought I read a link somewhere on here that he'd planned to take the loss and get out if we got relegated. NOTW...
  20. That doesn't sound too bad, actually, if only he actually planned to sell.
  21. Yes, because clubs never pay for players from other clubs whose fans think they are shit. Never.
  22. Beye/Bassong/Enrique/Jonas/Harper... Aye, that's about it. As much as I love Martins he won't stay and he's done FA this season anyway and the rest I have absolutely no inclination towards and they can book a coach now for all I care. Bassong will be sold though. Enrique probably as well, and if we really do have to pay 5m for Jonas now they'll probably sell him too.
  23. Still can't bring myself to blame him. Yes, I think it is justified to question him for walking out again (even though I agree with his stated reasons for doing so.) And yes, it is inconceivable that we would be anywhere near relegation let alone 3 points adrift and staring down the barrel. But the administration - the same one that lied to him, ruined his plans, and made his position untenable - could possibly have been forgiven if they'd had a plan. It's obvious, 30+ games later, that they never had a clue and the subsequent farce of Kinnear, Hughton, Kevin Nolan, selling Given, et al. is solely down to them. When we go down there's only one man who will be responsible and it won't be Kevin Keegan.
