What a load of shit. Lovenkrands wasn't on loan, there's no way we're paying Gonzalez's (who, as predicted, was a total invisible man all season) entire wages, that's not even really the right fee for Jonas (is it?), R. Taylor is certainly not worth keeping and let's not even mention Shola, laughable comment on Enrique, etc. I figure we can send Xisco back to Spain, Shearer will find a way to cut Barton's contract short (or, more likely, Fat Sam will come in for him) and most of this overpaid shite will get shifted. To keep: Harper S. Taylor Guthrie (Don't rate him in the least but he won't be on much and we will need squad players.) Beye Enrique Jonas Bassong (both he and Jonas are long gone but I still want to keep them) Everyone else should be rounded up and shipped off, plus banned from coming within a circular area of Newcastle whose radius extends roughly to Sheffield. Armed guards should be posted and offenders shot on sight.

I thought he was French but apparently he's eligible for both. Taking the easy way out I think. If he'd kept on the way he is and learned how to not give away stupid fouls, he could've made it to the French national team imo.
-
As I've said before, I don't want another one of those players who appeared yesterday (I'll qualify it to include keeping Harper who can only do so much, S. Taylor who cared and will be a top Championship player and Enrique who looked vaguely bothered when he came on) to play for NUFC again. So toss all of them. Beye and Bassong are the only two who didn't play (moot point anyway because they'll both be off) and maybe Carroll, that I'd want to keep. The rest can all get on their bikes because the gravy train has left SJP.
-
I'd like to have him and Chris Brunt.
-
I think Everton will sign him. EDIT: Sorry, I forgot to add that I don't care if he goes to Everton or Outer Mongolia, he barely broke a sweat in the last six months and I've always hated him, irrationally or not.

This is the part where you announce NUSC had a sniper stationed outside Villa Park and Mike Ashley has been eliminated, right Pease? Because that's the only way I can see that sack of flesh leaving.
-
Every one of them should be shot. A fucking draw would've done it and they couldn't rouse themselves for more than 5 minutes at the game's start. I don't ever want to see another one of those fuckers who played today in our shirt again.
-
Pull yourself together, we'll be back Don't count on it. Hasn't this season taught you not to count on anything yet?
-
I'm honestly tearing up here. Where has my fucking club gone?
-
School's out? Take off Edgar ffs, he's useless. Put Jonas on as a wing-back imo. I hope Shearer puts the fear of God into those spineless scum masquerading as NUFC.
-
This is the end of the line I fear.

Rather Millwall won but I don't care as long as it's over - didn't someone mention if there were extra time/pens it'd run into our game? Anyway, I've been truly panicking since last night. Could hardly sleep at all. This hour will be agony, I can tell already (only to be followed by 2 of even worse agony!) I fear it'll be 3-0 to them, but I'm holding out hope for a draw. Where's our David Kelly now?

What is the most ridiculous hatred you harbour?
acrossthepond replied to Park Life's topic in General Chat
People who dash onto the train as the doors are closing and just make it, then put on a big show of panting, looking around for sympathy, and trying to make eye contact and going "that was close, wasn't it?" before trying to make some idiotic small talk with some 60-year-old clinging to the pole for dear life. We don't want your goddamn life story, we just want to ride the subway in peace, thanks very much, die in a fire. Who was it who mentioned touchers? I HATE them. The New York Post. That isn't a ridiculous hatred though as it is probably the worst rag on earth, bar the Sun perhaps and it doesn't even have Page 3. People who talk on mobiles in the public domain, period. When I'm on a bus and I'm hearing way too much about Aunt Irma's hemorrhoid it gets to be a bit much. There's loads of others - I could go on for pages and pages. -
How's everyone feeling leading up to Sunday?
acrossthepond replied to dbsweeney's topic in Newcastle Forum
I've died a thousand deaths over it and it's only Friday ffs. Not given up hope yet though. I can't shake the feeling it'll be a total non-event though, we'll be down 3-0 by the 20th minute and it'll all just be over. -
Sympathy in short supply for Geordie faithful

Aye, that bit about celebrating against Boro really rankled me too. Idiotic thing to say. -
Correct Fop if Fop is wrong, but Fop can't remember the last time the BNP actually suicide bombed anyone (and yes the BNP get a lot of their vote from disenfranchised poor people - which is why Labour especially is constantly -ing itself over them - call a BNP activist Muhammed instead of Fred and you've basically got a radical muslim, they are almost the exactly same ). So what you're basically saying is it's "ok" for UK Muslims (and indeed non-UK ones) to hold effectively racist views over myths, strawman arguments and their own general prejudice? And that in fact everyone else should bow down to those myths, strawman arguments and their own general prejudice for it to be "acceptable" (to them). That's just plain gunboat diplomacy dressed up to hide in the PC era. Equality is equality, it is not (and never will be) some being more equal than others. No, that's not what I'm 'basically saying.' The Kraken is for noobs btw, Parky will have picked the mechanical owl while cackling at your naivete.

I'd put Reina and Given on the same level. According to some I always massively overrate other teams' keepers but Reina has always seemed solid if not spectacular. He can save a penalty too which Given couldn't really in his time with us, and it's my opinion that he has a better command of his area, but nobody stops shots like Shay and he could collect crosses too (didn't Reina drop a clanger when coming out for a cross this year or is that my imagination?). Saying Reina is ten times the keeper Shay is, twenty, etc. is just tripe.

You make a lot of noise about how you're not racist, but then you come out with absolute reeking shite like this and it makes it impossible to take whatever you say seriously. 'Barbaric cultures' You're still stuck in the age of the British Empire, Stevie. Nobody is saying (except for some extremists who are as loopy as their Western counterparts) that Britain should be 'dominated by Muslims' or 'have Muslim values.' This article is not saying that. But you have to come to terms with the fact that a major section of the UK's population is now Muslim and that is not going to change. Far from it - Islam is only going to grow in the UK and the rest of Europe. Nobody is going to kick the 'foreigners' (many of whom are native-born British citizens) out. They're not going to leave. They're here to stay. And they are British, despite what misgivings you may have about that. And now there are two choices - British society can integrate the new culture, as so many countries across the world have integrated new influences in their own societies; or Britain can, like the body rejecting a transplanted organ as 'foreign,' reject it. History has shown irrevocably that the second option never works and it will not work in this case either. The United States is trying it with the Mexicans, and they will fail miserably, but not before decades of strife. It can and should be avoided. You blithely say 'fuck what they (a large and rapidly growing segment of Britain) think of us,' and that the cultures 'will never be aligned.' But consider how you would feel about London lawmakers deciding "fuck what the northerners think of us, this country will never be dominated by them. Our cultures can't be aligned." You'd complain about southern bias but you're happy with anglo-saxon bias, and that's just an example of a juvenile 'me and my brother against our neighbor, me and my neighbor against our street, me and our street against our town' mentality that has no place in modern society. British society can benefit from Islamic society - not by accepting Sharia law, FGM, and extremism (which are practiced only by fringe elements in the Muslim world as it is), but by integrating positive values such as a focus on family structure, strong work ethic, and significantly better food. ( ) Unfortunately, it is impossible for a people to feel at home in a society they feel is actively in opposition to their values, and that's where the 'foreign policy' reference made in the article comes in. When British Muslims read about Enoch Powell, listen to the BNP, hear speeches denouncing Islam as a culture of violence, and when they watch their representatives vote in support of an illegal invasion based on fabricated evidence whose true purpose was not to defeat the spectre of Islamism, but as a function of United States self-aggrandizement, I think you can see why it is difficult for them to believe that they can ever be considered a true part of British culture. Most 'home-grown terrorists,' I believe, are people who were not brought up in the tradition of radicalism, but who become disillusioned with their lives on their own, and turn to radicalism as an answer. The fact that these events also coincide with the unfortunate rise of political Islam's star in the Muslim world mean they have a ready-made 'answer.' And as such, Omaar is arguing not that Britain must somehow pander to those terrorists and 'Islamify' Britain, but that as a whole, British society can (and should) make more of an effort to integrate its Muslim contingent and to prevent them from ever having to ask the questions that lead to the answer of Islamism. And, according to him, improving Britain's image abroad is one of the ways this can be done. Rant over. Drivel. aka, there's nowt I can say in response to that. Aye, jog on Stevie with your barbaric cultures.

Scary guy. @Danny: I hope you don't think the institutionalized racism instituted by 'Bob's lot' is going away? EDIT: Wait until Parky and Fop see this thread btw, I can already see it's going to be clash of the titans all over again.

Did they bollocks. All they're good for is stopping the Mickey Mousers. Anyone they can stop has no chance of harming me, and anyone who does, they can't stop. Much more likely is they'll continue to use the threat of 'jihad' (as exemplified by some confused converts, clearly) to destroy the civil liberties held dear by those who founded this country. That click on the phone line is just static, I suppose, Danny? No its the jews turning on their mind washing machine. A tin foil helmet will see you safe though. I'm not worried about the Jews - far from it. Farmer Bob out in Nebraska, and the people he votes for, are the ones I'm afraid of.

I live in Riverdale, where this happened. Let's just say I'm a lot more afraid of Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly than I am of a bunch of Latinos and a Haitian with fake bombs. I can only imagine what new travesties this will be used as justification for.
