I think Villa are a classic example of a club punching above their means because of a better-than-par manager and good backing from the owner, but they're about to come down to earth. Houllier isn't a patch on MON and Lerner must be wondering how much of his money he's going to end up blowing in January bringing in his new players (probably going to be shite or past it like Pires). I think they will return to the nothing they came from very promptly and it won't be a moment too soon. Boring brummie wankers and that disgraceful carry-on two years ago has earned them my hatred for all time. Wouldn't touch Carew either. What do we need another useless donkey for? We've already got Shola. This side is crying out for a speedy striker to play alongside Carroll (and by speedy striker I mean someone who actually has footballing attributes, not just another shit pace merchant like Martins).

Fuck off you blind cunt! Blatant foul on Carroll and he plays on to let Bale score!
-
Glad to see Pardew has finally figured it out. I don't care if he brought Best on, but Tiote needed to be off immediately.
-
Too fucking right. Was absolutely sure the ref would bottle that but he's done the right thing there.
-
Heart leapt into my mouth there, that was a hell of a save. This past half has reminded me why I despise Totteringham Hotspur. We've been fairly good despite our absentees but Carroll is looking so isolated up front that we're not posing any goal threat.

Don't think I've ever seen such a team of lightweights as this Spurs XI. Palacios is supposed to be their 'midfield hardman' and he's softer than my fucking mattress, and the less said about the pair of girls' blouses masquerading as centre halves the better.
-
Of course when Smith does get it right, the ref blows for a foul.
-
Successive flops by Bale and Palacios, very nice.
-
Lovely dive by VDV there, class.
-
This will be an ugly one.

Figure we're going to get tonked. I watched Spurs v Villa yesterday and they ran rings around Villa even with 10 men. That said, Villa had no presence in midfield and hopefully Tiote can get in there and disrupt their play. Surely has to be Ranger/Carroll for me, if we play Guthrie it'll be like seeing how we do with 10 men.

Newcastle United 1-3 Manchester City

Another loss where we batter the opposition and come away with nowt to show from it. I'm done with Krul, time Harper was back in, and I hope the Routledge sub was just a brain freeze from Pardew rather than an example of what "observations" he makes during the game, since Routledge was one of our best players. Lots of fouls from them as we might've expected. I think some of them had a bet on whose tackle would eventually crock Barton since they went after him with a will. I thought Tiote had an excellent game apart from giving away the second goal and I'm pleased he didn't get booked for once. Not too bothered about losing to Man City, even at home. Time to get thinking about the next game. -

We can beat these. They're a side with plenty of stars (and egos) but no cohesion and a bizarre manager in Mancini. We've been better at times this season than Everton were against them last week and if we can reproduce a similar level of performance to that which beat Liverpool, we'll be fine. I certainly hope there's no retaliation against de Jong. We've already been hit with 2 retrospective bans this season, we could do without losing another key player for 3 games. Beating these smug blue shites without any foul play will only sting them more. -
A very merry Christmas to you all

Meenzer's posts are great and often hilarious. If you were older you'd know who Nico is. Who the fuck is John Anderson, Kevin?

ASM far and away, and I wish he'd go far, far away. You know, like he's already promised to do twice.

You need some sweater puppies instead mate. Looks at Monkeys Fist running away with the general posters title. He had Salma bouncing around for months ! LM for me too.

Rafa's lost the plot completely over the last 6-7 months. I doubt there'll be another big club who want anything to do with him and his mystic mutterings of priests and white liquids. Stark raving.

I thought this would be a Parky-style "Gone" thread.
-
Cringeworthy thread tbh. Leazes chats endless shit, sure, but he's just one shit-chatter on a board full of them (including several people who are having a go in this thread.) I can see where the 'cliquey' label comes from on this display. Leazes obviously has his flaws and there have been times when I've been first in line to point them out, but this is embarrassing.

Why would he ever go to West Ham or Villa? Both of them are shit and both well below us in the table not to mention that Wist 'Am will be touring the Championship for sure next season. Sounds like a load of slow news day.

Fat or C.? I'm hoping we're talking about fat Ronaldo.

Ayatollah Hermione?? I liked A NICE HAT.

Vacancy at Blackburn, Hodgson, Grant and Hughes all looking to be standing on shaky ground, and an unemployed Hughton makes for an interesting Christmas season. No doubt the owners will be seriously considering who they want in charge of spending their funds in January and I think seeing 2-3 changes by New Year might not be out of the question. So let's play the merry-go-round. I think Hodgson and Hughes could both fancy going back to their old clubs where they'll receive a hero's welcome, but Hughton (who watched their game v. the Mackems last weekend) could be a contender for the Fulham job too. Fat Sam will likely go to West Ham and then disappear into the Championship (here's hoping!) Who do you think will be sacked and who will come in to replace them?
