I didn't say Krul had been awful, I said he's not been great and I'm sticking with that. It was a great save and he had another good reflex save earlier in the match, but he doesn't fill me with confidence when he comes out and flaps at various aerial balls. I'd leave him as #1 for the time being but have Harper ready to take back over if he hits a patch of bad form.

Krul's not been great. I'll 100% agree that some of the performances this season have been the best in a very long time and are cause for hope.

I don't even know what to say. I think I'd got my hopes up that Fat Mike was actually trying to get someone he saw as "better" than Hughton in, so that even though sacking Hughton was a classless, unnecessary and truly cock-eyed decision, he was at least trying to improve the club. Pardew is a downgrade on Hughton as I think anyone would agree. Hughton took us back up after relegation - Pardew left Charlton in 11th his first season down and on course for relegation in his second before getting sacked and ending up getting sacked AGAIN in League 1. It's just another cheap, "jobs for the boys" situation almost PRECISELY like JFK. What was the name of that play? "You couldn't make it up?" I feel a modicum of pity for Pardew.
