Reform's latest North Tyneside councillor. I'm sure once he's got his "head around everything", we'll all start to feel the benefit of his wisdom and experience.

Aye we need to operate as a standalone business, so managing cash flow is important. If we're getting cash injections from the Saudis, I guess they would have to be treated as loans, which now attract interest for PSR following the latest rule changes. They could inject cash as equity but I assume that would dilute the other shareholders. Also, we struggle to move quickly on transfers anyway, the last thing we want is to layer this on top.

If we buy him for £50m on a 5 year contract, the PSR effect is £10m per year. We could structure the payments as £1 today and the rest 5 years today, but it wouldn't matter because amortisation is done on a straight line basis.

Sounds like whoever Dr Gloom has read is making it up as he goes along, like Martin Hardy.
-
I honestly don't think it's been accepted. Hope, Caulkin, Waugh and Edwards would have articles out if it had. The Guardian one is probably just repeating Hardy.
-
Still no one else reporting that our Elanga bid has been accepted. Martin Hardy has fucked it.
-
I suspect this will just be resolved by higher fines rather than banning them from competitions. It's just a new revenue line for UEFA.

Tbf the mate he's talking about is Peter Sutcliffe. -
We've had a £40m bid accepted for John Kettley.
-
Bournemouth Llewellyn-Bowen certainly doesn't.

"Haha it's funny because I'm covering up for an alleged rapist." -
Now we can believe that the Elanga bid has been accepted. AP IN THA HIZZAY.

Surprised the mackems haven't come in for him. They'd give him a game right up until the jury returned a verdict. -

Tbf we'll be getting the same fine next summer. We'll likely fail their FFP but because they don't kick you out of their tournaments, you make more money from being in the CL and agreeing a settlement. -
He's the only person reporting that the Elanga bid has been accepted? I wonder if he just saw the title of The Magpie TV Channel's YouTube video, which they had to rescind on the actual video.

mad that Barcelona didn't reciprocate his stated interest. -
40+ new posts since I last viewed the thread this morning. Surely we must have signed someone. Ah no it's you dickheads discussing the weather.
-
I was already wishing for the season to start, but fucking hell those dickheads are in dire need of a dose of reality. Fortunately the PL has been dishing up reality of the starkest kind to newly promoted teams for a few seasons now. Even the ones that haven't been that long out of the PL have had their arses handed to them, never mind teams that haven't been there for the best part of a decade.
-
As if it's not bad enough that she's lost her job, you're riding her husband ffs.
-
I'd much rather we weren't rewarding Chelsea for collecting players like they're playing Pokémon. If the rest of the PL refused to buy from Chelsea for a couple of seasons, it would go some way to making them actually pay a price for their actions.
-
I'll remind you of this FRIVOLITY when we're leaking goals like a fucking sieve next season.
-
I wonder if they're now in the spot we've been in for the past few windows. Right up against it on PSR and needing to sell to buy.
