  1. What were you talking about then? If it's all just busy-bodies who complain about this sort of thing then how come these players did complain? Also, in the same way, would you say 'paki' in front of an Asian person, seen as by your reckoning they aren't the ones offended by it (which I know for a fact is bollocks). Thats tottally not what i was saying.... Your just putting words in my mouth or post even It's EXACTLY what you were fucking saying. Either that or you can't write down what you mean in words that anyone other than you can understand! Is it fuck. Ok here goes... There you fucking go, want a daily mail with that? Haha, you've made fuck all sense all the way through the thread, don't seem to know what your own stance is on all of this, get offended when people supposedly misinterpret what you have to say, then sound more confused than ever before when you try to explain yourself.

  3. No, but Emre's "calling people black and negro is fine in Turkey" defence suggests to me that he's said something he shouldn't have and this is the best they can come up with in defence. Which is pretty weak.
  4. You don't seem to have a clue what you or anybody else is talking about ffs.
  5. The point is whether or not the comments were racist. Well IMHO calling someone a Negro out of anger is racist. It is a comment meant to hurt. It's not nigger, though, which has definite negative connotation. It'd be the difference between Pakistani and Paki, I guess. So where is Negro then. I know calling someone a Pakistani is saying where they come from. How does that equate to Negro? Negro essentially means the same as black. It's in no way derogatory. Paki means someone from pakistan so I am assuming you dont think that is racist either? Negro is neither Turkish nor English for black so why use it. It was a stattement based on someones race intended to cause emotional distress. Can you prove that? Besides, calling a Scottish person a Scot isn't racist so how is calling some from Pakistan a Paki? Just an excuse for people to whinge or get sympathy imo. What about calling a Welsh person Taff? Or and Irishman Paddy? I don't these folks getting a stress on about it. The problem is all the lefty do-gooders that jump on the bandwagon to say "Oh you can't say that about this person it'll offend them" when the actual people involved don't give a sh*t. The leftys just wind people up and cause the conflict. Are you serious? It's just the lefties winding people up? If Emre has called someone a black whatever then there's not much place for him at a club with a number of black players in the squad, is there? Whether he's actually racist or it was heat of the moment, he's shown a side of himself that isn't very pleasant. We've all seen the rage that overcomes him from time to time - tell me that he wasn't looking to offend Lescott and Howard. Load of shite. Let's not try the "What about calling someone ginger?" argument or any of its derivatives. I dont think thats what he was talking about Ok, what was he saying then? I think the stance that he's taking is fairly clear. It's the same misguided one you seem to be taking.

  8. Someone needs a lecture on audio compression formats and their respective size/quality ratio. Not really. Compatibility should also be taken into account.
  9. Why would iTunes or an iPod play WMA files tbh? More fool the mong that uploads songs to his computer in WMA file.
  10. Haven't seen much evidence of Spurs signing crap players for the sake of it tbh. They seem to be building a squad to me.
  11. D1 Oils, I assume? Aye, I think that's what they were called.
  12. What happened to your ipod like, Cath?
  13. "I'm not talking being physically beaten to a pulp" I was - not saying I'd like to see it come back but by God we all knew there was a direct, certain, quick & painful punishment if the work wasn't done - concertrated the mind for sure That must be how you became an expert in any and every field. It was beaten into you.
  14. my thing is more about how can they offer me a "better" job when they've already said that the only way to get that better job is with on-the-job training... I'm worried that they're offering me this job in Harrogate so that they can keep the job in Leeds in their back-pocket. if the job in Harrogate isn't too much more I'd rather take the job in Leeds and save money, instead of getting a few extra quid in my pocket, just to see that and more go into the pocket of someone else via petrol, road tax and car insurance. So your question really has nothing to do with how they are able to offer you that job, and whether the offer is so that they can keep the job in Leeds open, and is actually - will the additional wage for the job in Harrogate cover my travel costs/time spent travelling sufficiently to make it worth my while? In which case you need to find out the exact salary for the job in Harrogate, do some calculations, estimate your travel times, and see what you think. If you come to the conclusion that the one in Harrogate isn't worth the hassle, go back to the bloke, tell him that (explain your reasons, you're perfectly entitled to say that you were interviewing for a job in Leeds, not Harrogate, and that the additional cost/time of travelling to Harrogate is of concern to you), and ask if the job in Leeds is still open to you.
  15. Interviews ongoing matey. Something came up in Boro last week - new company, recently floated on AIM, which specialises in the design of hybrid eco-friendly fuels. I could be an accounting eco-warrior......if it wasn't in Boro. Shame like, cos it would be good getting into a company that young cos if it takes off you'd be quids in on share options and that.
  16. No, it's not a graduate job, it's just to tide me over. That's my main issue, see the job I was initially offered was entry level clerking, and the guy said that the next job up the ladder required vocational qualifications. So how can they offer me a job with better pay and more responsibility if I don't have those qualifications? oh and yeah it's the recruitment people. I wouldn't worry about how they can offer you it tbh. It's unlikely to be beyond you, so if they're gonna give you a bit more cash and more responsibility, just take it. It'll look better on your CV than clerking. Sorry if I'm missing something, but I don't see the cause for concern, genuinely.
  17. So is this a graduate job or not? What exactly are you gonna be doing? Is this Kelly the recruitment people?
  18. Looks like something you'd dress a spacka in tbh. Not very PC, but I'm afraid it's true.
  19. I thought you were still at uni anyway? Is this meant to be a graduate job or just something to get you by while you're studying?
  20. Anyone else spot Robbie Keane ripping the piss out of Ferdinand's duck lip? He kept pulling a funny sneer and pulling an imaginary fishing line like those posters for stopping smoking.
  21. Why do you persist in talking about something you clearly know little about? Get used to it mate. It's not so much the talking about things he knows nothing about, it's more the way he positions himself as some sort of an expert on everything.
  22. When we were first interested in Carr he looked a decent right back at Spurs. By the time we got round to actually signing him, he was already on the slide, and he's been shite pretty much since he arrived. It's been said a million times on here in the last few weeks, but two transfer windows have passed with us not signing any fullbacks and it's a fucking disgrace.
  23. Not only has Robinson looked shite, but there's no excuse for the extra weight he's carrying. He's fatter than Stephen Carr.
  24. It's hard to not use the thieving gyppo line when a scouser comes on here trying to work out if he can get away with being.....well....a thieving gyppo. If he acts the stereotype then he deserves the stereotypical abuse.
  25. He's not faking it either. It's fucking scary how it just passes him by.
