Yep, creating something like a black players only union isn't going to help. I take it Asian players would have to set up their own union? The players (all races) need to work closer with the anti-racism charities already in place rather than kicking the toys out of the pram. -

I disagree Smith was ever vital for us, he just played a few games where he was less shit than he had been previously. Apparently a good lad in the dressing room but it seemed Nolan played a bigger role in that spirit so I don't think it would have made much difference if Smith wasn't here. He probably was a model pro but it does irk me that he saw out his contract, if he really wanted to play football then I am sure he would have found a club a lot sooner if he had lowered his ludicrous wages. Not his fault he was offered such a silly contract in the first place but it rules him out of giving his all to the club, for me anyway.

They're an in the ring because they want to be there, if you hit them too hard you will know about it from them or the trainer and as long as you aren't going silly they will understand. I have been caught a few times in the face when doing body shot sparring and I know it's either through fear or just a complete accident. Most sparring will have been hit a lot harder (especially if you are only going at 20% at the moment) so you really don't need to worry. It gets easier and you get a lot more used to being hit.

I think that but then I think if this many people were abused (sure I heard earlier the police were investigating 140 odd reports) it's staggering that nothing at all has come out. Just don't understand how it could have all been swept under the carpet.
