  1. I asked him why he didn't comment after we brought the Arsenal game back to 4-4, his answer was along the lines of 'why would I need to comment, I have seen it all before'. Not taking the piss either, seems to have himself so entrenched in the old board/new board debate that he no longer takes any satisfaction in anything going well for us any more. It's a bit sad really considering how much time, money and devotion he has put in to following us. He would be a hell of a lot happier if he just finally dropped the whole thing and concentrated on enjoying the good times. Not sure what he could possible deem as a negative from the Colo signing but I guess he will look at the Krul contract as just 'a guarantee of more money when we eventually do sell him'.
  2. Couple of my mates went up too, said there were gangs of mackems 'hunting around' after the game looking for Arsenal fans Said they have never seen anything like it. As is so typical they stayed in Newcastle, got to Sunderland at the last minute and headed back to Newcastle as soon as the game finished, they got a taxi because they didn't want to wait for the metro
  3. and then the thread dies That's not to mention the practical 'lotto win' the club had with Carroll. 70% of the clubs on that list (conservative estimate) wouldn't have turned down that sort of money for a player in Carroll's position and invested all the money back into the side.
  4. Look at those big spending Spurs cunts, with that lack of ambition they must be going nowhere.
  5. As already pointed out, this is the same DoF system at Liverpool with Dalglish and Comilli that you're praising?
  6. To bring this back on topic, did you read the Liverpool fans comments on Carroll Leazes? Talking about how they will need to buy another forward if the one they spent £35m for doesn't up his game. But he was part of a side that won a cup so he has obviously been successful You spend £35m on a striker, 14 months later you are talking about having to replace him if he doesn't up his game? Is he a success or failure? Take your time...
  7. All the time This is one of the reasons I am glad I don't have an iPhone.
  8. You are such a blinded moron but yes it's been a great move for him so far. The fans all back him 100% and not one of them think he is absolutely useless, he has been putting in the performances expected from the most expensive British player ever sold and playing in this cup final is not papering over any cracks In other news Obafemi Martins was a much bigger success in England than Shearer was post Blackburn.
  9. he's just won a winners medal in a Wembley final, and who do you think is more likely to break into the top 4 between us and Liverpool ? End of story So that means Liverpool wouldn't sell him for £30m? What a moron
  10. I meant Enrique obviously but I suppose it does give Leazes a reason to ignore another question he can't answer.
  11. The only player we have sold and haven't brought in a better replacement for is Santon unless I am forgetting someone obvious?
  12. I think you are fairly safe in your claim Liverpool won't sell Carroll on for a profit
  13. We should have gone for Clyne in January imo, he is free in the summer and will probably end up at a big club that rarely plays him.
  14. Christ that's poor. I mean I know we've relied heavily on Ba finding the back of the net, but at least we've other players who can score. If we lost Ba we could still expect Best or Shola to pop up with the occasional goal or two. Who've they got? That Delfuonso kid? Agbonlahor? I hope they go down, but I still think they'll stay up by virtue of being not as shit as Wolves, Bolton and Wigan. Don't forget Cisse
  15. and I thought I had a nice view from my office
  16. Cheers, got to admit it's kind of weird wearing a watch after nigh on 2 decades without. But this is the price you pay for being bored at work with a working bank account You'll still get your phone out to check the time on a regular basis. I have worn watches for years and still do it
  17. Would still smash that blonde mind, after her brother and father obviously.
  18. Didn't he leave his last two clubs because he felt he was under-appreciated? If I am not making that up (it is fully possible) you have to wonder why those who have managed him have been wary about playing him. He is obviously a massively talented player, I do think he probably has a bit too much faith in his ability hence why he tries to do it all on his own. One lasting memory of his youtube videos (yeah I know!) before he signed was they were mainly him running with the ball, taking everyone on then it would cut to the next clip of him running with the ball, taking everyone on, no passing, crossing or anything When he does look up for a pass though he has exceptional vision and will completely take the defence out of the game threading it through like a top playmaker. That said his stats this season are pretty good in terms of contribution to the team. I think the problem Pardew has isn't work rate, just playing as part of a team. That and the areas HBA will lose the ball in and our vulnerability to the counter attack.
  19. Ouch, they really are in trouble aren't they?
