I want a full review of that alex - every review ive read says its great.

Already tried the first one Laz, uninstalled it and let Windows install it, then tried installed the Dell specific drivers, then the Broadcom drivers, then uninstalled it again. Unfortunately, neither Dell or Broadcom do a specific Windows 7 driver. The second option's a non starter as I can't get online to use Windows Update. Do you have any vista drivers? if so - try them in each of the compatability modes.

Remember theres no browser with this folks

try uninstalling the network card in device management then reboot. windows will then detect the card and install it. you could also try doing a windows update to see if theres any drivers to download - and also check the manufacturers website for the same

if it were mine - id take the casing apart, remove the drive and try to install it in a pc to see if windows can see it. if not - there are many , many free data recovery programs out there that might be able to get some or all of your data back. do a google search for 'ultimate recovery cd'.

a broken external hard drive can mean anything. the drive itself could be fine and therefore the data itself is fine too. how exactly is it 'buggered'?

isnt testicular cancer treatable in something like 90% - 95% of cases if caught early enough? Dont know much about the brain cancer side of things though Any quacks aboot?

What do you expect him to do? Just rot, whilst he could potentially win alot, and suceed.
