New money, old money who cares? The point is they spent it. I'd rather Pardew didn't say anything if he's implying this is the life we have to look forward to.
-
Sad. Very sad.
-
I'd rather have Carroll than Bent today. And Bent was 24 mill. in this crazy market. If Liverpool get back to winning trophies and Carroll is a big part of it, then he's worth every penny. Sounds to me that Kenny has a plan that is similar to the Toshack/Keegan style. And he's willing to back it with cash. Meanwhile we hear from Pardew that Lovenkrands and Best show there is life after Carroll. I heard that when MacDonald left.
-
They didn't pay 35 million expecting the finished product. They see what he could be like in a year or two and were ambitious enough to take the gamble. Thats what separates winners from the rest.

9,000 may be the number who actually registered a complaint. I wonder how many said, that experience was shite, but fuck it what's the point of complaining?
-
I'm willing to bet he's a Yorkshireman. Tight bastards them Yorkshiremen.
-
What goes around, comes around, eh, stevie?
-
Surprised its kept your attention all the way to a decision. I'd think you'd lose interest before then. Half time Harry like you.
-
Who really gives a fuck who moves into the stadium?
-
Well, I'm more confident that Tiote will stay now that you're on record. Just like I was confident that Carroll would stay when Pardew was adamant he was not for sale. As I said before, when money talks, the FCB is all ears. End of story.
-
What Im saying is that FCB and Wise said that the strategy was to develop players and sell them on. I'd say that he succeeded with Carroll which was the first big opportunity that he had. We'll see what happens down the line but I'd guess that if he had further bids on the likes of Tiote that represent his idea of an acceptable profit he'll do the deal. I don't see anything that suggests he wants to build a team. Do you?
-
I'm not sure what your point is. Thats less than some man city players earn for a start. And the NFL is the only sport that has anything like a salary cap even though its not absolute. The others are "flexible". And NFL money is not guaranteed unlike footballer's contracts.
-
The FCB is doing exactly what he said he'd do. Develop or buy low and sell on for a nice profit that goes into his back pocket. He's never said he's here to build a team to challenge the big clubs. TBH, he's no different to any owner we've had, apart from Hall and Shepherd, in all my time watching Newcastle. In the past we were getting fucked by our own. It seems worse now that its a bunch of cockney twats doing it.
-
He does graft, but you'd still expect a bit more production up front and to get the odd shot on target. Not every game, just now and then.
-
Sad thing is that he says his kids have no interest in his memorabilia. Shame that. 10k doesn't go far these days.
-
I wonder if joorabchian is his agent and this is the shite he's sending our way?
-
I wonder if any of the other big clubs are interested in him?
-
I have no idea what you are on about.
-
It was the manner in which he went rather than the fact he went.
-
Rose tinted glasses.
-
I'm sure he's a good bloke but I'd doubt if they'd want him. He wasn't that good a manager and looked lost more often than not.
-
Getting a bit rattled there, son?

As usual, the only losers in this transfer merry go round are us. Benjani anybody?
