I don't see anything positive about being knocked out of a cup competition. If you do, and you aren't bothered, you aren't a Newcastle supporter. You've just bought into pardew's hype. Then again, aren't you the clown who claimed an impact sub. doesn't need any end product in his game? Before you changed your name? If so, I wouldn't feel sorry for me.

The league cup is only shit when you are winning other competitions. Turning your nose up at it when we have little chance of winning anything else is fucking ridiculous. And I fail to see why we shouldn't be putting out a full strength team at this stage of the season. How tired can these tarts be after half a dozen fucking games? I think pardew is under the impression that just because we are in the premier league that we need to follow the "big boys" in resting players. What a fucking joke he is at times.

Aye, that's telling them Parky. I wouldn't want that capital cup in our trophy cabinet with all the rest of our silverware.
-
If we won it, we would. FFS, people still talk about beating manu 5-0, how pathetic is that? Calling this anything but another sad loss is absurd. Especially when they had a back four that nobody recognized.
-
The cross was so good that Cisse really couldn't miss.
-
manu could put out a youth team and still beat us at OT.
-
Far too easy. Standing like statues.
-
Unless we pick up the pace, we'll be going out with the usual whimper. FFS, they are there for the taking as well.

IIRC, Leeds have won the League Cup.

If his confidence is that low, let's hope he doesn't watch a tape of himself play, then.

Unless it is a Champion's League spot does anybody really give a rat's arse? I'd rather decline participation in europe if we don't finish 4th or better and concentrate on winning a domestic trophy.

Beats me how anybody who saw that game would say we won comfortably yesterday. I'd have thought yesterday's game was made for Holt so I'm surprised he wasn't on from the start if he's fit. -
Also, I mean drop him to the bench and bring him on for the last 20 or 30 minutes until he get's his game together.. He surely has to a better option in this role than obertan.

I pointed out awhile ago that the partnership with Ba was not working. Naturally I took shit from people on here who may watch Newcastle but don't know what they are seeing. Until Pardew get's them sorted out in training and get's some understanding between them, then the partnership is not going to click. Based on his performances so far, and yesterday was absolutely dreadful, I'd drop Cisse and go back to Ba as the front man and push Ben Arfa up behind him. I' don't see many more options given the form of marveaux, the lack of ability of obertan and I'd assume there are no kids really pushing for a place or Pardew would've tried them already. Not much from the Euro games thats for sure. Cisse doesn't seem to pose any threat and his movement is poor. Totally different to last season. Its not a case of bad luck that he's not scoring, he's nowhere close to scoring but more importantly, his overall game is right off the boil. Thank Christ we have the manager of the year to sort it out. Saying that, I hope Cisse goes out and scores six on Wednesday night.

I can't believe such an innocuous remark would get your knickers in such a twist. Especially about a player who has been shite for the vast majority of his career. Perhaps your venom is misdirected. Could your "housemate" be the one who has really pissed you off? Left you in on a Friday night?

Watch it, you might hurt my feelings you know. Its not my fault you know fuck all about football.
-
Laughing all the way to the bank ring a bell?
-
Aye, he wasn't a bad player either.
-
I don't think it makes much difference if Pardew says there is a clause in the contract. I'm sure the agent will make sure everybody knows as thats his job. I'm beginning to think for Ba, read Anelka. Good players both, but always listening to the whispers and getting unsettled themselves, and possibly affecting the team morale.

Maritimo v Newcastle United --- 20/09/2012

As its not that lucrative playing in this competition compared to the CL and it can do more harm than good domestically, can you finish in a european spot and decline to participate? I'm not saying Ashley would want to as he probably rakes some profit in, but could he? -
Actually, I meant referendum on the death penalty. Do you really feel your fellow citizens are incapable of successfully molding this country through the ballot box? I do, but I'm surprised you do.
-
And yet, you don't object to the term "yank" being used in a derogatory manner, do you? Bit selective, aren't you?
-
Have a referendum. Power to the people and all that shit.
