Christ, just got back, doesn't sound like I've missed much. I know it sounds churlish but I'm not too fussed about the cup really, we need to concentrate on the league.

After having an extended 'soul patch' for some years I decided to grow a full beard at the end of last year. Funnily enough it'd been brewing for a while as I'd placed a bet with someone that I wouldn't shave until Mike Ashley had sold Newcastle... a bet which I lost when I saw it's futility. Anyways, back to the original point, I decided it was time to grow a full on beard and I can honestly say I'm loving it. I think every man should at some point in their life grow a beard as something they can say they've done at some point or another, just wondered what everyone else's thoughts are on these hairy appendages? Are they 'old man', 'grungy', 'grotty' or what? I think I'm quite fortunate with mine as it's black with white streaks down either side of my chin - kind of like The Master from the origial Doctor Who series

I don't know much about this lad but if he cost Pompey £3m in September and we're getting him for £1m then I can only assume they're grabbing whatever money they can for a non-first teamer when they're in the financial shit themselves. Worth a punt for the price.

Not being able to land our targets has been the story of the past ten transfer windows tbh Aye its just M'Bia, Ebondo, Johnson all over again. But then I would question if Ashley etc really want to sign them or the plan all along is to appear that we are. This. Indeed, it's a very convenient reoccuring theme with our transfer windows. Fatty either puts us up for sale or miraculously we don't seem to be able to get our 'targets'... smells a bit fishy to me.

That makes no sense at all. How could you be taking more out of the club each month than is being generated? The only way would be to be making loans against the value of the club, putting the club further into debt. Of course that would be an incredibly ridiculous thing to do because if you intend to sell the club it would make it nigh on impossible to do, or if you intend to keep the club the costs of servicing the loans will be greatly in excess of any profits a wonderful businessman like Mike Ashley could make off that sort of capital. If he is somehow managing to take out 7 million each month, despite the fact that the club does not bring in profits like that each quarter (let-alone-month) then it's flat out not a 'profit' in any way shape or form and the statement is blatantly wrong. Im guessing here but I reckon the whole "£7m per month" is a bit of a red herring, like I say its a guess as I've not seen the allegations but Im betting that when it comes out then its averaged over a period of time, so if say it was the last year then the allegation would be that he'd taken £84m over the last 12 months = average of £7m per month. That makes more sense.

Both good points actually, I've got to admit I'm doubting that we're making a £7m profit a month BUT it wouldn't surprise me to hear that Fat Cunt was taking any money made straight out again and putting it in his back pocket. At the end of the day we have a large, parasitic problem bleeding the club dry and that doesn't look likely to change any time soon sadly.
