It's not exactly a surprise to anyone though is it, well, except Accaspacca perhaps. We knew injuries would shag things up and we knew they'd come, I'm still in the same mood I was prior to the start of the season with us being in trouble throughout - things aren't about to change any time soon. As far as I can see Ashley has lost a bloody fortune at SJP and Barclay's want to make sure that Moat doesn't do the same with their dosh You say this but I actually wonder how much he's actually put in to the club, I mean after gates and players sales. I know they say the club was originally bought for £134m but after that there's nothing really solid, certainly there doesn't seem to be and hard evidence of debts being cleared that I've seen (that could just be to a lack of looking though). If the amount of money he's made was put next to the cost I wonder what the final figure would be.

On top of that Ashley's probably attempting to use this as a means of hurrying Moat up or getting him to increase his bid.

Is he just another wannabe club owner who knows bugger all about how things should be run? ... and why not join forces with Moat and both own a stake?

Thing is we all know it's possible... but only if the miraculous happens and we get no injuries between now and next summer. Unless we bring some more faces in to bolster the already thin squad though it's all very unlikely.

I just find it disgusting, I can understand some people (not many) feeling a bit let down that he left the second time but I think the majority realise that he was being dicked around and had every right to stick to his guns. These plebs who're are slagging him off though just don't seem to have a clue about Newcastle United though, I really don't see them as supporters of the club, just some cockend, braindead kids.
