It's a shame because both Charters and the Cherry Tree used to be good pubs when I used to venture out that way on a night out, both still doing the live band thing. Couldn't tell you which pubs are away fan friendly tbh, in general Peterborough's a right shithole, full of chavs and immigrants (not that I'd expect the immigrants to be that bothered with the footy, there's just a lot of them). Good luck to those going, if anyone needs to know where anything is while you're there feel free to PM me. -
I picked Smith & Guthrie, basically because I believe Barton is one of the players who doesn't want to fight for the cause, just an overpaid pro collecting an wage he doesn't deserve. Both Smith and Guthrie look like they want to play for us.

I live about 10 miles from Peterborough but I'm still not going, Posh have got to have some of the most annoying staff and irritating local media going. I'd rather we put out a youth team for this one, we need to concentrate on the league imo and the less distractions outside of that and the fewer risks to first teamers the better. You can believe Peterborough will be treating this like a cup final. They've got ideas way above their station so any win, even over our youth team, will be dished out as if they're good enough to win the Prem - it's funny though, their fans aren't usually that bad but the local media surrounding them and Darren Ferguson really give them an image of loving themselves too much. They're a nothing club, the biggest recent thing in their history was an near court case they had with Mrs Beckham over rights to use the name 'Posh'. -

KEVIN KEEGAN SEEKS £10m FROM NEWCASTLE

I don't think a decent manager in his right mind would have touched us with a barge pole, hence Tourettes/OAP/Angina-attack-waiting-to-happen/Walter Mitty......aka, Joe 'fucking' Kinnear. (ex-Tottenham). ANd why would no decent manager touch us with a barge pole? Ashley and his cronies... I rest my case m'lud. -

Ummm, should he have given us a month's notice? The problem was how the club dealt with it, not Keegan. Is the real reason we went down, nothing to do with Kev - I don't see how anyone can lay any blame on the Keegler, unless they're a mackem or a brainless cockend -
You have to wonder if Ashley could actually try and salvage the situation if he finally stepped away from the club, became a distanced owner and put real football people in charge. I mean in the grand scheme of things he'd probably recoup his money a lot better, it's a scary thought but it wouldn't surprise me if someone had advised him on this. If he'd found an investor to add to the running costs would it be viable? Don't get me wrong, I hate the bloke as much as anyone and would prefer to see the back of him... but... if we're going to be stuck with him for another season better that the club would be run in a better fashion until someone with some financial clout can come in and buy us out.

Game's sounding a bit boring but at least we're winning.

Means end of the CT, you gullible sucker -
I found the original topic both informative and light-hearted... and then the rest of the thread was quite entertaining as well

I get the feeling that those three may be the remnants of the players who couldn't be arsed from last season.
