Are these real key positions or are they just positions for players who can't do their jobs properly? Patrick Viera was a defensive midfielder. He was so good with his technique & pace that he could drive forward and get back when needing too, but he was a defensive midfielder....lets leave it there! ......BOX TO BOX! ....NO! Defensive midfielder.... Kieron Dyer actually started playing at Right-Back. He soon said fuck that, in other words he wasn't good enough to play in that role so he decided he would be better to attack rather than defend. He went from Right-Back, Right-Wingback, Right-Winger to playing in that free role You see players like Aaron Hughes, Alan Smith, Geremi, Nobby & Dyer played in different positions because they chose to do what they want to do while asked to play the position they've been asked too. As far as Nobby goes it proved to be positive in that he could play to a good standard at Right-Back as well as on the Right-Wing, but players like Dyer & Hughes it has proved to be more of a dilemma for themselves and the manager. Alan Smith is a perfect example. Who can name the position he plays? Then ask yourself is he good enough in the position you have decided he plays? I'm quite happy for him to continue doing what he does because he works hard, but the reason he came here was because he wasn’t getting a lot of first team football. Can you honestly see him getting as many games with the likes of Duff, Zoggy, Emre, Barton, Faye, Butt, Geremi, Milner being the likely candidates in midfield while you have Owen, Martins, Viduka and possibly even Ameobi likely to score more goals as strikers? Geremi. Outstanding in preseason playing in that.....defensive midfield! He started off playing in that very position then drifted out as a Right-Winger to being played at Right-Back. It seems as soon as he gets comfortable playing back there again he easies off his game and becomes somebody who is jut there to sweep up, but not really to get stuck in like Butt & Faye would. He then gets drafted again to a position where he's asked to do a little more in attack on the right side of midfield. Both Geremi & Smith could lose out when everyone is fit & playing to their role. I'd prefer to see Geremi on his game, but Alan Smith as a striker, he just doesn't seem to know where he is as a footballer and ends up playing all over the pitch.

I could only really describe Smith's role as an attacking midfielder like Scholes & Dyer, but without the goals & pace, just great work rate. He's not good enough as a striker nor is he really a midfielder. It would have to be between Geremi, Faye & Nicky Butt. It looks more like Faye & Butt fighting it out for a defensive midfield role, but neither is as composed as Geremi. Geremi is simply a holding role midfielder.

bread knife I hate spiders

It was actually inside the windowsill after being opened this morning. Before I took the photos I scooped it out onto the window ledge with a bread knife. Trust you to notice and say something like that though

I don't know what he's done to earn his place again, but we always seem to have at least one shit inclusion. Bentley & Young on the other hand...mind, still not impressed by Bentley’s decision to withdraw from the under21's, like.

I think only certain sections of the stadium should have seats, like below for example. I think the barrier these days with terraces are obviously safely & security. If they do introduce new terracing sections they'd have to make sure they'd be safe & secure & also maybe every supporter having the right to stand in the place they chose to just as they do with seating.

Going to Mallorca for a week

There are many different things in life which can unsettle you & damage your wellbeing whether it's through the job your in, people you associate yourself with, where you live, etc. You've just got to make the right choices that you know will benefit you, take action, do the right thing & believe in yourself. The only way your going to be happy is if you do those things and your rewards, nine times out of ten, will come! Your better off asking yourself what makes you unhappy, whether it's a situation you find yourself in, like pissing in the hallway of somebody’s workplace after mixing your drinks, etc, then it's your choice , but everyone’s capable of following anything through. :headphonedance: I'm happy that I enjoy the job I do. The wage could be better, but there are opportunities around the corner to be in a position where I will be better off. I'm happy that I've came a long way from where I was four or five years ago, which is why I believe I can do even better. I'm 95% happy that wor' lass is the one, the other 5% is in the air because I'm going on holiday for the first time with her tomorrow. I'm happy that I'm able to sit down & study & pass every course, exam & test I've done over the last few years where as a good few years ago I had a really rough time in doing so because of poor education. What do I want in life that will truly make me happy? That's an obvious one. Newcastle to win the league, to win the Euro Millions apart from that I guess it is just money because I'm pretty happy with who I am and what I've achieved. You have to be able to give yourself credit, doesn't matter how big or small that achievement is, it's a step forward to many more. If you can't do that then.....maybe you need counseling. There's an idea!
