There is a project in motion, they're doing evaluations/due dilligence etc etc, we had PIF's infrastructure blokey added to the board for example. I remember the days when all that mattered were the results on the pitch and under current ownership they've never been better (well not since the 1950's) seeking some ethereal sense of commitment from the ownership is daft. Even if/when they cough up for a new stadium it means little in terms of commitment, just means they're increasing the value of their assett should they want to cash in. I personally suspect part of a delay is them looking for a development partner btw.

The quotes per Waugh were along the lines of "it's a massive and complex project, biggest in the clubs history, so I can't give any definitive answer or set a deadline for that answer, as I don't want to set false expectations, but we are working hard on it every single day". I really, REALLY, don't get the furore about a new stadium, it'll happen when it happens and it'll be anounced when the plans/funding etc. is ready. Totally chilled about it here. Yeah, we'd like the extra reveue it'd bring (in about 5 years if it was announced tomorrow), I'd rather have increased revenue near term announcements from additional sponsorships as a more pressing matter tbh.

We saw it last season when Pope was injured and Dubs played, Dubs may not have made some saves that Pope probably would have, but his distribution was so much better he arguably had less saves to make because we weren't turning the ball over so deep because of his better feet and Ramsdale's kicking/feet skills are on a whole different level to Dubs.
