As you say apart from clothes and food, I reckon I buy virtually everything else on-line. Especially anything electrical, bought a small tele from Amazon for £249, was £349 in Currys

Was meant to be getting turned into a film directed by Michael Mann, but seems to have slipped off the radar. He went and did Collateral instead. Shame that, it'll probably never be made now because of 300 which better be good because if it's not it's a disservice to one of history's great stories. The Spartans were sort of the Nazi's of the ancient world and are a compelling subject.

Brilliant historical novel about Thermopylae, highly recommended for anyone who's interested - Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield [

Very clever station tbh, make a fortune out of fucking idots who can't see they are being set up with ludicrous topics. Notably a huge number of cockney and scouse callers seem to predominate

Stunning film On a Nicholson-esque theme The Departed, thoroughly enjoyable gangster/bad cop romp Di Caprio was excellent, which was a surprise -
Solely on Taylor IMO When the balls played wide Huntingdon checks his run to play the winger offside, which he would have been except that Taylor was 2 yards behind the line the rest of the defence was holding, Taylor compounded his error by not cutting out the cross As for the "no defenders - why didn'y you realise that in August" comments, he probably did but we were skint (and probably still are)

Thanks, but within reason not too bothered by monthly cost (it's a business expense as I work from home) just after a half-decent provider
-
Heard nothing but bad about Tiscali mind !! What was wrong with Plusnet? a couple of techy's at work reckon it's fine

Moving into me new house soon and trying to decide on new broadband provider. Internet does get hammered with my lads' on-line gaming and not downloading movies (because it's illegal and we wouldn't want to do anything illegal would we) Sky Broadband seems to be the fave at the moment, any suggestions from the techy whippersnappers on here ?? Can't go Telewest (my current ISP) as they don't cover the new house's area

Bit late for me. Ive already bought me HD tele. Im very happy with it. Major spate of burglaries round near me where houses and schools are being broken into for their projectors and then theyre being flogged on to pubs etc. Well any burgler who manages to get mine will need a stepladder as it's to be ceiling mounted, disarm the alarm and avoid the dogs, if they manage that they'll deserve their ill gotten gains

Roeder accused of cover up in fall out from Emre race row

At the end of the day he alledgedly, in a fit of pique, called someone a name, a very distastefull one granted, but big fucking deal. If he's guilty he gets a short ban/fine - end of. I would also be very surprised if Emre a Turk (who are particularly volatile at times) would react in the heat of the moment in English. And all the while John Terry walks free because he's England captain -
Wyn Davies in Mark Toneys at the Haymarket, having a cup of tea. Players knew how to live it up in those days, I did get his autograph though and he didn't set fire to any banknotes or tell me to fuck off.
