  1. I've read numerous reports where he has played well in reserves matches. He did also suffer a broken toe at one stage when it looked like he was going to have some involvement in the first team. I can understand why he wasn't used in the final run of games last season as he had no premier league experience and would not have been fully match fit. Plenty of other times in the season though where he could have been given a go. I'd like to see him be given a string of games to establish and prove himsefl in our side. We've got nothing to lose really.. it's not as though Shola has done anything good in recent history. I suppose the one detractor is that he's probably (based on minimal viewing granted) reasonably similar in the way he plays to Andy Carroll, though Carroll likely has more mongrel/fight in him. Not from what I've seen. And I totally disagree that we've got nothing to lose. We have to find a striker that is capable of scoring 20 goals a season and Xisco has shown me and none of the four aforementioned managers anything to suggest that he's the man.
  2. Or either, he is that dreadful in training and in the reserves that playing him would give us even less chance of promotion which will cost us a lot more than the transfer fee and wages put together and some. He's not played under 4 managers so far, I think we should accept he is garbage! Can he be any worse than Shola? Of course he can be.

  4. Jonas can be replaced, but not sure that Colloccini can be. I think it might be a naive to suggest that Kadar is a replacement for an Argentinian international defender with vast experience, despite how shit he's been. And if he was sold, one injury and we are properly in the kids.
  5. Understatement about smith like. Had a solid game. Moved around, didnt seem to tire, won possession plenty, passed it off well and didnt get booked. All the stuff Butt doesnt do these days. Does seem to share his shooting skills though. As for Jonas, he's still prob the best we have. My biggest fear is more likely to be sold Totally agree about Smith had a good game.
  6. It's a bit much to ask people who still live at home to fork out for a stag do to Las Vegas. You're talking a grand before you've seen the frills of a strippers knickers.
  7. You're living in a parallel universe. In what world has Xisco done anything to deserve to start ahead of Shola.
  8. He's the director of some of the worst movies known to man. Resident Evil, Alien vs Predator and Mortal Kombat to name a few.
  9. http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/artic...lane060809.html Confirmed by Spuds
  10. just about to edit it. Obviously that's even more impressive.
  11. That's Vuckic. No Idea he was that well built. He's a big lad for 18. Would be nice to have someone in the side capable of scoring from outside the box, it's been about a decade since the last goal from >18yards
  12. I actually thought Smith did reasonably well when he came back at the end of last season - despite being clearly half fit.
  13. Doubt he will drop Nolan. I was looking for at least one positive to come out of the last 12 months. Not seeing Kevin Nolan wobble around the Hawthorns would be one.
  14. Guthrie is out, so team prediction.... Harper Ryan Taylor Steven Taylor Coloccini Enrique Lua Lua Smith Barton Gutierrez Shola Duff
  15. Hatred. That's what I actually feel. That it affects me, that it gets me down. That contemptable cockney twats are ruining the football club that has given me a lot of pleasure over the years.
  16. O'Leary would be a significantly better option than JFK. Anyone without tourettes has got to be a better option.
  17. just turned on, have i missed it
  18. David Craig said he'd been in touch with the hierachy and that they'd gone to talk to JFK out of courtesy. He finished his piece by saying that JFK would not become toon manager as long as MA and Delboy are in charge.
  19. The Girl Who Played with Fire - Steig Larsson. Second in a trilogy of books. Found them both to be very entertaining and really tough to put down.
  20. Not sure if it was solely the autobiography but Russell Brand's My Booky Wook certainly helped him go from undoubted bellend to slightly misunderstood and might be canny bellend in my mind..
  21. Nobody willing to take on 5/6. That's a number for proper centre halves.
  22. I can't remember him scoring with his head apart from that Barca game? Maybe I'm being unfair. He's certainly a crap target man and can't find his teammates with his head. There was a goal against Sunderland at home that springs to mind.
  23. I'll eat my own left nut if the Profitable Group ever own NUFC.
