  1. Four in a row is enough. I want to remember why the song was called 'Easy Like Sunday Morning' not 'Hungover and Knackered like Sunday Morning (and a good portion of the afternoon)'. That said, after a couple.....
  2. Yep, I'm in. For once I'm not going to end up in town on Saturday night so should be in a state to actually move (though not much). Eldon or JJB is fine with me.
  3. The one thing going for it is that it's not Daz "The White Van Man" Sampson.
  4. That is the most depressing thing, we all know what's coming. That said if Roeder is our manager for the first game, he should stay unless we really are staring down the barrel of a gun. No more giving managers a 5 game start and seeing where we are. If we continue to play below our potential, then the decision is there to be made after the last game and not much later.
  5. Do we pass to each other in training, or just stand around joking about as we seem to do for most press shots? We didn't lose tonight simply because of attack or defence but because of a total inability to keep the ball. Absolutely shocking.
  6. These commentators deserve a fucking slap. As does Van Gaal.
  7. I've had the same on a couple. Sorted it by pressing Shift+Ctrl+Del and selecting to clear the cookies. However you'll need to log back in on your next visit everywhere- will retain saved passwords though.
  8. Stick me on. I need the fitness badly.
  9. The Link- all have airports named after them?
  10. Halfway through the first half, Roeder finds time to indulge in a bit of circus seal antics on the touch line. The act was brought to end end when Terry Mac threw him a sardine.
  11. Ferrari seem to be the only ones who have managed to get their cars to work, everyone else seems to be fighting issues left, right and centre.
  12. Got to the gate bang on the whistle! Surprised the keeper caught the ball tbh, he's woeful. I've seen plenty better keepers in the Northern League.
  13. Luque's parking is as bad as his shooting (I'm assuming the Spanish Porsche was his)- parked with the wheels at 45 degrees across two bays. It was gone by FT. After Saturday's showing I thought I couldn't see a worse game. Wrong.
  14. How the hell can you remember all that Because I watched it all unfold! I just cant reconcile how we went into the Academy at 12ish and left at the big lights at 3, yet seemed to be in there for an hour or two tops.
  15. Well, he's there to tell Freddie and the other club directors how to run the club and is accountable to the shareholders who can vote him out. Those shareholders being for the majority, Fred and Doug. It won't change the overall direction of the club in any way, Fred still has the big stick but he may bring along good contacts and some fresh insight for the business, especially considering how long most of the directors have been there. Lets hope he lasts longer than David Stonehouse did.
  16. No, was two lads who thought that running and bouncing into each other constituted a fight. One of them had a shiny number t-shirt on and looked like an angry little man whereas the other (the 'run and bounce' merchant) was a tall bloke.

    How Difficult..

If you have a van der Graaf generator in the same room, turn it off.
  18. Highlights of the evening- -Waiting for six weeks for me to get into Aspers and use up the vouchers I had. -Some people in front of us in the Academy queue thinking there was a lunar eclipse happening and taking pictures of it (it was just a bit cloudy) (edit: turns out there was an eclipse last night- but it wasn't when they were looking at it) -The worst fight ever between two kids outside the Academy -Me managing to get a taxi, somehow.

? anti-static wrist-strap? explain a) what that is and b ) what it's for... It's an elastic wristband with a bit of metal on it. When you wear it and clip it to your case (plugged in as mentioned) you are electrically earthed so you wont have built up any static electricity- that is you and the stuff you're working will have the same electrical potential. If you touch a processor and you get a static shock, you could have knacked your CPU as static can be at levels like 3,000V. It's not always disaster but not worth risking for a few quid. I have this one http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/58199
  20. Granted lands by William the Conqueror, originating from Calvados but first settling in England in Derbyshire. Noble as owt man. Cath will have to curtsy on Saturday.

Makes sure you buy an anti-static wriststrap and clip it to the case (with the mains lead IN but not switched on). Otherwise you may accidentally pop something.
  22. I hated Economics, both at school and at Uni (worse at Uni as the lecturers were the two biggest knobjockeys on earth. Twats). But I think it went like this- 1. Take a mind-bogglingly complex scenario and turn it into a line. 2. Take another and do the same 3. Where the lines meet is where you want to be. 4. Do anything you have to in order to get to the intersection, despite the fact those efforts will almost certainly shift the lines and you find yourself on a wild graph chase. 5. Repeat until the end of term. 6. Erase from memory with the help of therapy.
