1. Disagree. The only negative thing he said about us was our lack of composure at the back and we provided plenty of evidence of that today during that crazy spell after the first goal.
2. I read that as 'be the last'! 50992 So did I. I was expecting an all-out war as I scrolled down.

Check out the Sennheiser range and pick the pair best suited to your budget- the quality on them is absolutely superb. http://www.dv247.com/invt/7281 I used to have a pair of the model below that one, the HD200s, until I managed to wheel my desk chair across them. The model above comes with a replaceable cord, so if the cable breaks or starts crackling- no need for a new pair of phones.
4. What's worth remembering amidst all the doom and gloom is that profit and loss figures merely reflect a business' performance over a period of time. We should not be at all surprised then that the last year's results are not great. The things to judge a business' position on are found on the balance sheet- mainly cash and creditors. Eventually losses catch up with you, but we've not gone from great to in the mire in 12 months- the real position is somewhere in between. WARNING- The following contains jargon! The £9m loss figure includes the amortisation (accounting for cost over time) of the players' registrations but not the profit on disposal of players- so taking in all footballing transactions we more of less broke even, then paid out £4m dividends leaving a £4m loss to be retained for next year. It's also worth remembering that while we may pay £10m for a player, that's not a loss of £10m for that year's accounts. If the player is signed over 5 years, then a charge of £2m is posted each year, the theory being that the business can make more than £2m back as a result of having the player in the squad. So we may pay out the cash, but the cost will be spread over the length of the contract. If we sell a player for more or less than his remaining value, then this is posted as either a profit or a loss on disposal (which earned us £13m in the last year). A player cannot be valued at higher than his cost price or his realistic market value- this is why the club wrote down the value of certain players (I wonder who?) by £3.4m- again this is shown as a loss but that does not indicate cash leaving the business. As Gemmill (a sorcerer to this apprentice) rightly pointed out, our charge for the amortisation (depreciation) will hit our profit figure again next year as we have signed so many high value players after the 31st June cut-off period. I don't even want to start to correct the misapprehensions on a certain other forum. I'd be here all week.
5. Conference leaders Grays have a certain Mark Stimpson at the helm these days.
6. I have little better to do with my life, so yes.
7. That result would have made a massive difference not just for the senior side, but for the juniors and the ladies as well. A complete disaster of a night for the club.
8. It doesn't automatically make someone a racist though does it?
9. You have to hand it to them- no matter what the outcome is they usually manage to turn it into some kind of victory. It's quite a skill. Conversely, even when we win half the time it feels like a defeat.
10. How can I be fair? Easily. However, ill-chosen his words were, I do beleive they were a pop at some of the people posting in the Ameobi thread that's turned into a 20-page monster and in abosolutely no way was he calling the players. It was not a good move to make such in-comments in a different thread, where they would almost certainly be taken out of context.
11. Is that meant to be a sense of humour? Idiot. 49441 He doesn't even support Newcastle, his patter is poor and is left to be desired for.. and he's racist. Just what we need. 49455 To be fair to J69, that's not what he meant.
12. I'm afraid the piece quoted from your article flies in the face of your argument. Woodgate and Bowyer were shamed because the lad in question was Asian- or shamed because they were involved in a street punch-up? I'd have thought the latter surely. Plus the fact the first sentence doesn't mean anything- anyone can be accused of anything by anyone. All that matters is what has been proven in a court of law. In that incident, no-one was found guilty of any racially motivated offence, but some were charged with what is basically a street fight (and the guy given the severest sentence in that incident you fail to mention entirely).
13. Atmosphere? It was like a morgue 48971 Not joking- but were you there? I was in the SE corner and I can assure you the first half was rocking until Elliott scored, which took the wind out of our sails. That said, it should really be like that week in, week out.
14. There was plenty else to be on with without resorting to Easy chants. I loved it in the SE corner as kickoff approached. Only when people got sat down did the din subside.
15. To do it at 2-1, having already conceded immediately after our first goal was a sign of brain failure.
