Yeah, when you read the detail it seems to differ from what's in the headline. As you were.

Listen, I'm no TP & TBD

I've just managed to shut one of the cunts up by pointing out the geographical location of Sunderland has been labelled as 'Newcastle'. It all went quiet after that.

As others have said, I'm expecting him to get the same level of gradual introduction to the league that Eddie affords nearly all of our overseas purchases. Expecting Barnes, Wissa & Elanga to be the front 3 at Wolves.

Great North Run medals show Sunderland instead of Newcastle - BBC News "Newcastle-based artist Howard Lee" "The event's founder, Sir Brendan Foster, said he had "spent ages marvelling" at the designs and "never spotted the mistake" even when they were displayed in the window of city centre department store Fenwick. He added: "I've lived on the River Tyne my whole life and I should've noticed." Fucking clowns.

Agreed - looks a great range. Hopefully they've put some sort of limitation on how much can be purchased in this exclusive advanced window. Else, what's to stop someone spending £47 on the membership, buying up a shit-ton of stock and then flogging it on for inflated prices to satisfy general sale demands?

Terrace Icons range on sale to Mags+ Membership only. General sale 9th September from 09:00 when no doubt it'll all be sold out and available at a highly inflated price on the resell market.

Agreed. Still thiink it's a crying shame Burnham ended up leaving the commons and becoming mayor of Manchester. He'd have been my choice to lead Labour.

I think we ended up paying just under £700K for Quinn when the intention was to spend about £250K. -

I'd almost forgotten about the independent tribunal board - the Bosman ruling put paid to that. Didn't we get done in the opposite way when we signed Quinn from Portsmouth as well? Ended up paying way more than we planned to. -

Playing catch up but I was discussing this with a load of fans of other clubs who were unanimous in the view that Anderson is the prime example of why PSR isn't fit for purpose. Most of us on here are old enough to remember home-grown talent such as Waddle, Beardsley & Gascoigne being sold for (almost in the case of Pedro) pure profit - but we did so against the backdrop of needing to maintain the balance sheet / pay for the Milburn stand. However painful it was to see them walk out of the door, we could accept that it was done in the interests of the club. Anderson's exit was of no direct advantage to us - it's to satisfy a fucking bean counter at the Premier League HQ. Someone did suggest that in signing Ramsey, we've benefited from it as well as lost out, but it's not the point - it shouldn't be happening to start with. Where is the incentive to develop your academy? Can't remember the details but didn't Purslow propose a simple, and effective amendment which would stop the need for clubs to find it necessary to flog off their talent? -
In other words, a but fruitless without a decent supply but deadly when you're knitted into a team that can supply? Unlike some of the fucktards on X or Bluesky, I'll wait until he's playing in and amongst our squad before I judge him.
