I dont see facebook being any worse than any other site, and that's what the junk mail folder's for in outlook anyway. cool your boots man Actually I think facebook is better than other sites for that because it holds your email address as an image rather than as a text link therefore reducing the possibility of spider bots grabbing hold of it. Over the years i've signed up for a few social sites but facebook is a hell of a lot better than the rest. The fact that you can install preferred applications to your page is excellent. I've got well hooked on the travel IQ game at the moment....

I'd start with Owen & Viduka and bring Martins off the bench in the second half when defenders are tiring.....

Making Given captain would have been a mistake IMO. I can see mileage in giving it to Owen but the pessimists would only have used that as a "you've only given it to him to keep him at the club" excuse. Barton would have been a good choice and I don't see a problem with Geremi.

Competition for places is important. Lot of supposition in this thread. Given is good but he certainly isn't world class IMO. Cech and Buffon are world class unreservedly. I used to share that sentiment up until a couple of years back when we turned shit and his importance became even more apparent. He's not flawless, but then no-one is but he is certainly one of the best keepers in this country if not in Europe. Buffon has to be IMO one of the most over-rated keepers in the world. And it's all press related. If he was anything decent he'd never have remained at Juve last season. I think he's displaying the fact that he's had opportunities to move on to better things but has remained loyal and wants that to be acknowledged. So he speaks his mind.... good for him IMO
