  1. Haven't always seen eye to eye with you Skol, but that is absolutely spot on...
  2. Not really, maybe it's a bump back down to earth for people who thought we were going to finish 3rd this season.. There were still some positives to take from it. Plus we have can make changes to the team that started. The game was far from being of last two seasons direness standards. Thats where I'm coming from aye, hence the BUMP! because it still looks like the same old Newcastle to me like, even after the signings they've made,I'm not getting carried away with the takeover just yet. A hell of a lot of positives can be taken from this game. OK we played a bit flat and we didn't have the final delivery as we did last week, but it's a million light years better than the shambles we were putting together last season. I think your post is indicative of the type of person who presumed that the takeover was going to turn NUFC into Premiership champions overnight. It never was - this season is one of rebuilding and re-establishing ourselves. Tackling was immense as was the midield line. Don't think Butt and Geremi work as well together as perhaps Barton and one of them will but that's all part of the learning curve. Give it time...
  3. I know the point you were trying to make, but I take it you won't want me to remind you we beat them 3-1 last season?
  4. BBC reporting that Geremi went off injured - that true?
  5. I think the Pompey fans quite like it. Don't have to watch or listen to their match you know...
  6. You know damned well he's gonna dig up that pictures of the keys again, don't you?
  7. On what grounds? It's part of the 'furniture' at Fratton Park and always has been as long as I can remember. It's like saying the BBTN crew should be hoyed out of SJP.
  8. Craig

    Martins

He can feel the stare of the zoom lens from Peasepud Towers burning a hole in his neck
  9. IF He could well get injured today and not play on Wednesday at all....
  10. Bellamy falling out with a manager? Surely not..... It'll still be all Souness' fault though in certain people's eyes
  11. I think playing for England against Germay will be to our advantage as it'll be another game nearer match fitness. Shitter about Mike Forde if that one turns out to be true
  12. Canny draw for us.... Leeds v Pompey looks a tasty draw
  13. So long as the charger is power rated the same and the interface marries up to the laptop, i don't see an issue.
  14. And before it all kicks off, it's a URL that Peasepud owns and has owned for a long long time. He's just making use of it for some 'testing'
  15. Time of the month again Martin?
  16. Craig

    Classy....

Wants to ask for his money back, they've given him the old style letters.... What if the bloke was called 'Carrick' Jon??
  17. Yup - and I remember Stuart Pearce having a goal disallowed in Italia '90 against Holland because the referee claimed it never touched anyone.
  18. The last goal he scored for Liverpool (against us) was from a ridiculously long crossfield pass from Gerrard. Was that not with his head too?
  19. At least one of them against Argentina was with his head - he outjumped Crouch as well! Finding a Beardsley headed goal is a bit of a holy grail mind you....
  20. Actually the law school is only about 200 yards further from that bridge than my flat and about 3/4 of a mile closer than my current place of employment! But thanks. You just like living dangerously, admit it! Teetering on the edge....
  21. Would make the backpass law a bit more interesting...
  22. Best of luck Zath.... Don't ask Sammy for any advice, probably won't be his field of law...
  23. I've heard that Setanta don't take own cameras to the match and instead rely on the CCTV footage that the clubs provide. Hence the quality of the coverage and images isn't too great. I know someone who watched the Villa v Liverpool game at the weekend and they were far from impressed but they did comment that as you're getting it for £9.99 a month, contract free so you can't expect it to be as good as Sky's coverage.
