  1. A point from nothing. Valiant fight back and looked much better with Aarons and Shelvey on.
  2. Another loss by the looks of things, unless anyone else has any ideas on how to score?
  3. Finest example of premier league football this first half
  4. Joselu is so poor I can't see why we continually play him. Rafa doesn't have many options but it's absolutely pointless in persisting with him. Oh and sorry for the 'united' (small U) faux Pas, I blame the phone for auto correct
  5. To lose against united was no surprise, to get well beaten at home by Watford........ Ashley should think about wrapping up that deal whilst he still can as I can see us being sucked in with form like this.
  6. A good start, everything was undone by half time. We committed too many in pursuit of the equaliser and was short of energy in keeping shape. I think Murphy looked excellent in attack and Shelvey was pulling strings all over. Joselu hasn't improved at all and has probably gone backwards, he needs to be left out
  7. Burnley offered little, we offered little more. Rafa set us up to grab at least a draw but unfortunately some disorganisation in defence allowed them in. Other than that, we looked fairly comfortable if not short on quality. The problem of a threat up front persists but elsewhere by and large, we looked under little threat.
  8. Hard fought 3 points. Boring today with little end product but stuck in.
  9. Really doubt this will go anywhere. Ashley will price anyone out, continue to milk the cash cow and then tell us he's still trying to sell in January when everyone is calling for a boycott for refusing to release some transfer cash.
  10. Disappointing not to get 3 points but it was a very good performance. Excellent link up, high energy and plenty of opportunities. Entertaining!
  11. What a pathetic attempt at survival. If Rafa walked I wouldn't blame him. I'd love to see which clown would want to work under Ashley next time around. I really don't see what Ashley gets out owning. He can't enjoy watching us, can't get a lot of money out of us and doesn't get any love from us. His sportswear sweatshop has had enough press without the need to sticker up SJP. At least we've still got Colback....
  12. Finally something to cheer about! Much more positive, pressed higher and had more energy and pace about getting forward. Hopefully that will continue at home if not away. Good finishes and Ritchie was excellent.
  13. Regardless of quality, there appeared to be a lack of urgency by some of them. We should be pressing teams but there's too many errant passes which choke any momentum
  14. We are making Huddersfield look like a top 6 side here. Serious lack of quality.

    Joselu

If Mitro gets his shooting boots on and Gayle can stay fit then to add someone who can provide useful backup is a prudent buy. What Everton has spent is fucking ridiculous compared to what they would have paid a season or two ago. I wonder if the market will settle down to a more reasonable level when they realise that spending huge amounts of money only serves to empty their pockets rather than creating any more success.
  16. When I saw the interview, this is exactly what I thought too. I hope for the good of the club that Rafa stays but this leopard definitely doesn't change his spots. Ashley is the same arsehole that he has always been. I wish he would just sell up and fuck off. If Rafa does walk then I'll bear him no grudge. He's done well to get us back at the first attempt and clearly has stuck around despite a sour atmosphere in the background. Despite a shitty result today, I thought there were some promising performances, Clark and Atsu the pick for me. Hopefully we should have some less eventful games coming up where we can pick up points and confidence.
  17. Huddersfield played plenty of triangles but just have enough to put a decent final ball to break us down. Midfield sat deep enough to keep the defence protected and you could see they were trying to push it through. Reduced to shots from distance as a result. Not quite home and dry but will be interesting to see how Brighton and Huddersfield fare in their next games with Leeds getting involved too. Certainly taken a bit of pressure off which can only be a good thing.
  18. We'll win nowt with a team full of geordies, even just 2 of them....
  19. I thought the same when Murphy came on.
  20. We were lucky there without a doubt. We didnt deserve to win, they played some good stuff and put pressure on us. At times it looked like they were about to finish us off but glad we got the rub of it. Unlucky for Houghton but we've got to keep on putting pressure on Brighton as its us or them for the top spot.
  21. Reminds me of Shearers goal against Holland in Euro 96.....
  22. Just highlights how much work we have to do over summer even just to stay afloat IF we get promoted.
  23. Without Gayle, we are banking on having several chances just for one shot on goal.
