Roeder: No one could have done better than me!
Papa Lazaru replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Roeder is a canny bloke, but coming out with bollocks like this just makes him look a complete moron. There are many managers who could and would ahve done a better job. He's entitled to mention the fact its a record breaking injury hit season by anyones standards, but that can't hide the fact he had more than enough talent available to have won so many of the piss easy home games we through away and to have actually competed in some of the away matches we just didn't turn up for. Also other managers might have tried buying fullbacks, getting some sort of organisation in the team, not picking Carr, known how to use subs and change games when its not working and many other things. He's had some terrible luck this season with injuries, but to say what he has is just embarassing. -
I don't really know whether Silvestre is good enough or not, but i know that whilst Wes Brown is easilly better than what we have his injury record is appalling and that's without him being at NUFC, we'd have to be mad to try and sign him!

Nothing new there then... It was one of the most annoying games i've played in. I can actually run on it, but do nothing else and because i'm completely one footed all i could use was my left foot and that wasn't good at all! I ended up as the worlds smallest targetman, standing up front controlling the ball and laying it off for other people as best i could with my left foot! I did score one goal but that was a back heel through the keepers leg! I could do that as it didn't require my knee to get any power behind the shot!

I tried playing foootball today and my knee is completely fucked, i can't kick or tackle at all with it, so there's no way i can make a game tomorrow!
-
Is something wrong with that? Might be bit but you can download the metal tribute to them to get round that. Nothing wrong with it at all and not either, just well written songs with two very talented female vocalists. And the Metal Tribute album has 2 or 3 excellent versions on there as well!

If you didn't have to go to work (school, uni etc)...
Papa Lazaru replied to Dr Kenneth Noisewater's topic in General Chat
Well even when i am getting up at 7:00 for work my bedtime is between 1:00-2:00am, and about the same at the weekend. If i'm on holiday for a while it tends to drift later towards 2:00 and occasionally after. -

Typical load of whingeing bollocks from Fergie. Ronaldo is a cheat and everyone knows fine well he is, so Fergie acting like a spoilt brat and throwing a tantrum won't change anything. Credit to Shreeves though who maintains his dignity and lets Fergie continue to make a complete cock of himself.

Stupidly i'm going to say i'll play as well even though my knee is currently knacked and i'll be playing on the saturday as well! If i should be injured on the saturday and dropping out will fuck the numbers up i can always stay in goal or something! We should decide ona definite time and place. I imagine Eldon will be the easiest for people to get to, especially for non drivers like me!

Don't see how they could have ended up with any other conclusion so the whole thing was always a waste of time and money. And put the player through a few months of trouble for nothing (unless he did say the stuff in which case he deserved the hassle!) It was basically some players saying he said stuff and him saying he didn't with nobody neutral/not involved like the ref or linesman to verify, therfore there was never going to be enough evidence to prove he said anything.
-
me too ??? But you are playing for the women's team. And Hips is playing for the geriatrics XI... We'll have to get him to join in the 5-a-side then, he'll be at about the right fitness level!

It's the eqivalent of giving Ince the Man Utd job. I know we're desperate, but how about letting Shearer learn his trade first. More like giving Keane the manu job (before he went where he did) or an actual manu legend who has not long retired than a prick like Ince who although a good player was nowhere near as good as he thought he was! Anyway i'm not saying Shearer is my no.1 choice i'm saying because of the fat clown who runs this club then your choices are likely to be Roeder or Shearer!
-
Roeder's not good enough, never has been and never will be, however from Fat Fred's point of view, he's cheap, manageable and "understands the club" so unless we continue to lose every game till the end of the season i'd expect Shepherd to give him another season to waste... untill sacking him part way through the season with no "plan" in place and we throw another year down the drain. Or probably the only other option to enter the thick skull of Freddie will be to go and talk to Shearer and see if he's up for the job yet. Because he's a geordie and really undertands the club! However of the two options i'd give Shearer a crack over Roeder anytime.

Happy Birthday, have a good one!

Was thinking the same myself, if any team or player ever needs to break a bad run of one sort or another we will always help out!

You mean in the way that Terry Wogan makes a difference by collecting 8 grand for doing Children in Need? Terry and I have fallen out since I found out about that They did slightly misrepresent it in some stroies i think. He's paid by the BBC and not from any money that goes to charity, that's the BBC's choice to pay him. Also he's said he woud do it for free and that the money is just bunged in with other money he earns from the BBC, or something like that. Either way he would come out of it best if he does it for free or gives the 8 grand to comic relief!
-
Narr, we'll scratch a win and paper over the cracks once again. Thats the thing with Newcastle, you always think you kniw what we'll do but every now and then they do the oppositte. So the most likely result is another weak, disorganised away effort with no shape and Roeder pickignt he wrong team and making no changes as we lose, or we go and scrape a win or win comfortably and Fat Fred will sit back happy again to do fuck all!

Funny 10 years ago! you're being generous to Lenny there!
-
Half time, full time and preferably mid way through the second half at something, and if possible go mental at a couple of individual players a few times, because that always lifts their game doesn't it!!!
-
For Owen read Martins, I doubt with both on the pitch our luck would double as I am unsure about those players being able to work together. Roeder as well as Roeder had his player securing him results by goals virtually out of nothing. I don't think Owen and Martins are the same type of player so i'd be happy to see the two of them play together. Owen is all about right place at the right time and clinical finishing in and around the box, often from little service in his time here. Martins scores spectactular goals often pulled out of nothing but struggles more with the easier chances created for him. And whilst Owen likes to play mostly where he is dangerous and belongs up front, Martins can easilly drop off and look for the ball.
-
Don't get me wrong I am not saying we have not had bad luck on the injury front, but the handling of it going into the season could have been better. We all knew Owen was crocked and Shola needed surgery yet started the season with a piss poor front line and at the back whilst you cannot be sure you will def pick up injuries Carr, Bramble, Moore and Babayaro all have poor injury records yet we went into the season with those 4 and two relatively inexperienced defenders in Ramage and Taylor. I agree, even with the injury crisis, the amount of points we dropped against utterly shite opposition was unacceptable. And like you say many of our problems this season were identified by everybody but the management and "coaches" we have at this club! And Isegrim i agree that we've always looked clueless that's the problem with Roeders team, no real direction or look about them that they know what they're supposed to be doing. I disagree abouyt the luck and deserving wins but you know that! I do however think Owen makes a massive difference, in Souness disgrace of a time here when the team was a mess and created next to nothing either he was scoring for fun. In any team he guarentees goals and thus points and he occupies the oppositoj defence to leave space for others, so he would for me make a big difference.
-
I doubt it, i'd expect Fat Fred to give him the chance to do exactly the same next season as he has this, though if we don't have such an insane injury crisis as this season and the likes of Owen play then by defualt we will do better next season, but nowhere near as good as we'd do with a good manager!
-
Exactly, as usual! Huntington was having a nightmare at LB and we were getting hammered down that flank, and a change had to be made but wasn't. And when he brought Emre on i thought fair enough, he's made a change in time for once, but we still didn't do enough and he didn't make a further change until too late again! That said the players have alot of blame as well for some shocking passing, some utter stupidity in all areas of the field and indiscipline as well as not taking the few chances we did create.
-
Duff is fucking shite. What the hell has happened to him over the last couple of years? He used to be one of the best players in the league. Looking back at the goal, shouldn't we have easily cut that ball out? As usual in any goal we concede there was probably 2 or 3 chances to have easilly prevented it, not always just by defenders either!
