  1. Always thought he was over-rated meself Most of these soloists are, can do all the techniques but all the songs get tiring after a minute or to and it lacks heart. Give me "Layla" over "For the love of god" anyday. Depends what you're rating them on to be fair. In terms of technical ability and what they can do with a guitar they are amazing and so their ability isn't overrated at all. If you're rating them for their song writing ability, and how they use their ability to produce music you want to listen to more than once then that's a different thing alltogether and alot of them might be found lacking in depth there!
  2. Good job him and his party are so anti guns and in favour of gun control or he might look like a hypocritical prick!
  3. There's nothing wrong with playing Martins and Owen with a manager who understands their games and knows the football to play to get the best out of them. However as people have said, we have Roeder who will continue to let the keeper and defenders punt the ball aimlesly up at them, play virtually no accurate through balls at all and generally waste the attributes of the two strikers in question!
  4. To be honest i know nowt about him, but the fact is as long as he's decent we have to start bringing in some players on the cheap/on frees as well as paying big money for players if we're goiing to overhaul our squad.
  5. "Where's Jenas when you really need him!"
  6. We'll soon coach that nonsense out of him, we'll have him pissing possesion away like the rest in no time, don't worry!
  7. I don't thing more defeats will get him the sack sadly or they would be bearable if you knew he'd go. But Fat fucks masterplan of keeping Roeder until Shearer can or will take over musn't be changed whatever happens! You just wish for once, finally, the fat cunt would wake up and realise we're not actually a sunday league team and get in a manager, coaches and backroom team that aren't a fucking joke from top to bottom and do it before a season starts and who knows he may be remembered as being something other than a brainless prick!
  8. Still look on the brightside, Fat Fred will have looked at the performance over the season, the clueless, directionless and disorganised mess we are and will have a clear plan set out by now to remove Roeder and get a top class manager in to make sure we start next season with a chance of doing something...oh no wait a minute, he's a complete prick and will keep Roder in the job and watch us piss another season away and fall further away from the top teams.
  9. If it wasn't for us this season bearing gifts they would be in the bottom 3 and in even more shit! True, and a few teams could be saying the same about us Yes, our generosity has known no bounds this season!
  10. If it wasn't for us this season bearing gifts they would be in the bottom 3 and in even more shit!
  11. To be fair under Roeder and Souness we aren't playing the same sport as this!
  12. Commentator saying good news from Spain, Chelsea have equalised...not my definition of good news!
  13. Big Al was asked the question at the Fed about taking over and he said it was,nt the right time for him, he still had stuff he wanted to do, but he said possibly sometime in the future . Text book boring Shearer answer tbh. He's not going to say publicly he wants to take over while Roeder is in charge. He could be chomping at the bit to take over and he still would keep his mouth shut and dish out the 'Glenns doing a great job' speeches. That's true. Shearer could well not want to go near it at the moment, but if he does then you know his answer would still be as above!
  14. He's never had a chance for the reasons Gemmill covered, he wasn't given a run in the team, he's played in an ever changing back 4 when he has appeared and he's played in a pretty poor team being badly managed! From what i've seen i'm not sure, he certainly has made a few mistakes and has struggled with the ball at his feet alot. I don't think i'd risk the money myself but had Roeder used him properly then i may have ben able to give him a btter look. The problem we have is that we could see him, Moore and Bramble all leave and whatever you think of any of them, that's alot of CB's to replace on top of the 2 fullbacks we need, and whatever else we require in midfield!
  15. I only have a problem if he let him get away withna 2nd yellow card offence before he signalled to Pardew. Because like NJS i get sick of refs randomly changing the rules of what constitutes a yellow card depending on it being early or late ina game, whether you've already been booked and other reasons which are irrelivent, its a yellow or it isn't. But as long as that wasn't the case then if Pardew asked for the warning i think its fair enough.
  16. I know that my criticism isn't unbiased (and maybe ott), but what does Emre actually offer to the game in midfield? I thought some of his lunatic runs at players who where in possession were just bizarre. And he is offering next to no creativity from open play - not to mention his set pieces... I thought it was overall a very ordinary performance with some better spells against a Arsenal side that looked very average, too. Neither team played great, obviously, but the sad truth is that even if it was average it would be enough to have won most of our home games, because we lost them by being shit! Average would be a big step up for some of our home efforts! I'm not the biggest fan of Emre, and it doesn't necessarilly have to be him but the midfield always looks better when Butt/Parker aren't together and we do look like we may actually create the odd chance rather than nothing!
  17. I thought we were average... We were better than them first half and second half they probably edged without really troubling us (or us them to be fair) and they are a top 4 side, that performance would have been more than enough to see of most of the shite that fills the prem these days!
  18. Not only does he take ages, but he stops any good work we're doing football wise by refusing to pass it short to the fullbacks and just twats it upfield time and again. However that is a job for the manager and "coaches" as all it takes is one shout from those wasters to say not to do it, or even better actually work on it in training!
  19. Anchorman was mint. Talleaega Nights (sp) now that was shite. Anchorman is his best film and i think will remain so!
  20. Whilst it wasn't a spectacular performance it was (considering the opposition) a good one and its annoying because it would be more than enough to beat many of the utterly shite teams we've lost to at St. James. Roeder was once again treat to a lesson in the fact Parker and Butt don't work together in the middle at St. James and that we are always better with a different pairing. Butt, Emre and Millner all played well and worked hard. I thought Carr had actually had a decent game and then he goes and looks like a fat, lazy twat as he stands and watches the ball go past him, somehow Nobby managed to save the goal from the resulting scramble!
  21. It was typical of alot of modern footballers who for some unknown reason smack it for the top corner when a calmly placed low shot will be an easy goal, its really fucking annoying! Fair play to Martins for his efforts before Sib missed though. And fair play to Parker for backing Martins and getting after Stead for the foul as there's not much of our players fightng for each other and they often just leave each other alone when anything happens. Obviously if he'd done something stupid and got sent off he'd deserve a bollocking, but for me its about time we saw teammates backing each other.
  22. Very possible, especially if West Ham beat Sheff utd next game. Plus West Ham have in Tevez (now he's found some form) a genuine goal scorer that the other teams down there mightn't have.
  23. Too many teams below us now to need to worry, but a defeat today followed by the arse on monday adn we could have been looking in deep shit!
  24. I wouldnt mind Spurs at all if the majority of thier fans weren't wankers. Yeah, to be fair their players and managers have rarely ever bothered me at all, in fact they're usually fine. I like Jol, seems like a canny bloke who is also doign a decent job. However their fans and the cockney media bumming them constantly tends to make them incredibly annoying overall.
  25. *sniffs* What you doin' wearin' my hair treatment?! Jonny has a serious crush on Clint Eastwood btw. He is the essence of man though. I remember reading an article about him when he was hosting some sort of celeb golf tournament and basically most (or all, i can't remember) pulled out because the weather was shite and a reporter asked him what he thought and Clint said "They're all a bunch of candy asses!" He doesn't mess about!
