I think before the season ends we will be down to just Roeder/Pearson plus Clarkie and Terry Mac. At which point Clark will be first team coach, reserve team coach, goalkeeping coach, chief scout and physio whilst Terry Mac will also see a massive increase in his resposibilities and duties when he takes on the role of picking the pre-match music on a saturday!

Didn't David Wetherall have a PhD (or at least degree) in chemistry or something and i think Shaka Hislop was studying something at uni. The major worry is the fact we've pissed away our easy home matches, the games that would usually see us nowhere near relegation. The plus side is that Watford, Sheff Utd. and Charlton look to be doing their best to save us, with a fair few other teams looking shite as well. It could be tight and we'll have a better idea after the home matches with Pompey and Reading (i think they're next home games) and away to Blackburn.

I haven't seen it so don't know, but i'll take a wild stab in the dark and assume that the fact he plays for arsenal means the ref will ignore such things as "the rules" and what decision he's supposed to give and just applied the arse-kissing the top 3 rules that prem refs prefer to use.

Exactly, since Read has returned to tests his batting average has been good, and initially i'm sure he was doing pretty well in matches where the batsmen hadn't done well before him. The one argument against him was the batting, and if you compare his test average since his return with Jone's average in his last year of playing i'd be amazed as to how England could arrive at the decision they have. Obviously hope Jones comes in and has a stormer with both bat and glove, but it should be Read playing and the aussies will be happier with England's choice.

How often does this happen as well? I know plenty of people who've had idiots start on them but been unable to do a lot about it because it's just going to cause more grief. Kidding me! Its absolutely insane and yet not in any way surprising that Roeder would do it. When they said they would get one more game out of him at Citeh i thought fair enough, they've looked at him and he can take another game (or most of one) and that will be it. But it turned out he wasn't able to play from the first kick so yet again our "manager" and "Coaches" had made a complete balls up of things and also i assumed when they were starting Shola that it'd be alongside a Rossi type of striker (ie. Rossi) and not a Shola type of striker (ie. Sibierski). So having seen how much Shola struggled, (not his fault but theirs) if they even think of doing it again, away to Arsenal then they're a bigger bunch of morons than we give them credit for!

That's what i think. Jones was in on his batting despite being the weaker gloveman, then his batting steadilyl got worse and Read worked on his batting. Finally Read gets a chance, is steady with the gloves and does the job with the bat, if he gets dropped it will be a disgrace.

Geraint has been recalled apparently. Read was supposed to be better behind the stumps but not as good with the bat. However his recent work as a keeper has been no better than Jones so he can't really have any complaints. I think everyone in cricket rates Read as the better gloveman and since he got back into the test team his batting has been better than Jones had managed for ages. If they drop Read it will be completely wrong since he did everything they asked of him with regards to improving his batting.

Yep, knowing all about the club is most important, at least far more important than knowing anything about tactics, substitutions and not playing strikers who rather fit into a wheelchair than on a football pitch. I think we are the only major club in world football who from the board to the management subscribe to this moronic, embrassing and patronising belief that being local/knowing what the club is about somehow is more important to success than those things the clubs who actually win things favour. But as long as we have Fat Fred in charge this will never change and we will continue to be a joke. If Roeder thinks a team containing him, Clarkie and Terry Mac is the best for the job then you have to worry!
