1. I've been thinking that for a while now. Shepherd likes to think hes the big geordie who hates the mackems and you just know if they (and perhaps the smogs too) had been flying and rubbing our noses in it our fuckwitt of a "manager" would have been kicked out a long, long time ago. So the mackems being shite has saved him, and they can join the list of people/things who've saved his arse time and again: Injuries - a permanent excuse for him to hide behind Gareth Barry - Penalty miss Clarkie - Saved defeat to the smogs Big Al - Saved humiliation at home to Mansfield Anal Oliver and the chronicle - For not doing their job in his time here Arsenal - For being complete tarts and allowing us to kick them off the park! Michael Owen - For being world class and getting enough points to hide how shite things are Emre/Nobby etc. All for moments of indivdual magic, eg. freekikcs which mask the truly disgraceful football we are watching Of course you certainly can't knock any of the toon players i've mentioned for doing the job they're paid to do! Its just every time you know Fat Fred will be ready to sack him, he scapes by the skin of his teeth and condemns our great club to more misery.
2. A belated thanks to people for this thread, i've finally got round to sorting out my internet access and am now back!
3. Agree about Rome, i was expectign something spectacular and really enjoyable but found it pretty mediocre to be honest and haven't bothered since.
4. He's not that much of a legend yet, maybe if he wins us a trohpy
5. There was a lad at university who went to school with Gary Barlow. He said nobody took the piss out of him, even after he won the Beeb's 'A song for Xmas' contest as he was nails. I'm guessing after the bitching he's done Robbie's too shit scared to meet up. 57418 You can't imagine Gary Barlow being a hard man like! But the fact is Robbie Williams would have nothign, no career and all the money without Gary Barlow, something he will singularly fail to acknolwedge instead favouring bitching about Barlow all the time. 57428 Aye, Williams seems to be too lost in Planet Celebrity to think of it that way. 57434 The twat was going on last night about the bloke that assembled Take That saying "Well if Nigel hadn't discovered me, someone else would because I'm good." So yes, it seems that he does think that his talent would have shone through regardless, and fails to see the enormous slice of luck he was dealt by getting selected for Take That. 57438 There's been alot of luck I reckon, riding on the coat tails of Oasis after that chance meeting at Glasto. Falling in with Guy Chambers. Not to mention the real lack of top quality British male singer song writers coming through. 57444 Its a string of good fortune from start to finish, with one other thing helping him, the fact that a large number of the general public in this country by his shite music in large amounts.
6. Wouldn't be a fair fight, i'm too tall for him 57430 Plus, you've learned a few moves off watching Buffy. 57431 Yes, but all they did was injure my wrist!

9. They should release a dvd with that on the back: "Clunky, heavy handed cack" - Gemmill
10. If you've read them all then you can have an opinion, until then, you know nothing 57399 Having read the first one, i would say it was alright. Loads of other stuff I'd rather read though. The 'adult' covers are a canny funny concept like. 57405 Yes i thought the adult covers thing was funny, either read them and don't give a toss what people think or don't read them. Anyway the first one is enjoyable but doesn't compare to the later ones should you ever want to read them
11. These days i don't even need to say it, with every word and action they prove it for me time and time again. If you got the lot of them (from both organisations) shot them and replaced them with some chimps and everyone who's appeared on Big Brother things would actually improve!!!
12. No, but it was mentioned in an episode of Curb your enthusiasm last week as Larry tried to get somebody to admit their was a good version of Hodgkins Lymphoma Buffy and Angel are programmes that if they didn't have the "fantasy" and incorrect "teen label attached to them would be recognised for how good they are, but who gives a shit, i have in total 12 series of stuff i love to watch and i'm happy! And before you ask i don;t watch Dawson's Creek either 57385 Beat me to it. I'm trying to get me head around what a program featuring demons, vampires and the like is if it isn't "fantasy". Unless you believe in all that shite 57391 No, the "fantasy" label is correct but leads to snobbery as has been the case for tv, films, books and anything else with that label. The "teen" label is incorrect as that implies they're akin to shit like Dawson't Creek when they are in a different league. Anyway, you know you love them both, but just won't admit it 57395 They are for kids though, right? Seriously though, I have watched them as wor lass likes both. They do me heed in tbh. They are better than thinly veiled morality plays like 'Dawson's Creek' though. 57398 They're for anyone with taste They're two of my favourite programmes, so we could be at this for a while

14. Why are you worried, you're surely already past any age they could conievably start pensins at, its the telegram from the queen that you should be aiming for next!

16. I haven't, perhaps just not posted as much the last few days?

18. The number of times Turkey is invovled in trouble one way or another is a joke and should have been sorted by FIFA/UEFA long, long ago, but it wasn't. They should be banned from something for a good while! But Gemmill hit on the really imortant issue as far as i see it, as long as Emre doesn't miss a single NUFC game they can hammer the Turks and their players as hard as they like, if NUFC would be affected then its best left alone!!!
19. You've just lost any credibility you had on here tbh. 57165 I think you'll find Papa Lazaru is big fan as well. 57226 Don't think you can use the word 'big' in the same sentence as Papa Lazaru tbh 57353 How very dare you!!! Anyway onto the subjects at hand: Firefly was, by the time it was cancelled really starting to look good and showing how good it would go on to be. The movie Serenity was excellent and hopefully they will at least make 1 or 2 more movies if not ever ressurect the tv series. Buffy and Angel are both great programmes in every facet imaginable and as somebody said Angel in particular has alot of dark, disturbing stuff and violence in it compared with alot of tv coming out of the USA and Buffy is just an excellent programme and anybody who says otherwise is a great big bummer
20. I think we'll probably keep it pretty close for alot of the game, like we did there last season, unfortunately its the part of the game Cheslki look to destroy us that will be the worry!!! I have no idea what the result will be but i certainly don't see us getting a caning, for some reason!
21. For once if we get an injury can we not just from the start have it all simple and sorted out. Every time we get an injury its either covered up, wrongly diagnosed, changed about 3 times or similar. Look at Taylor, if you followed it from the start he was initially thought to be out for about a month, that quickly became its not as bad as first thought, probably make the Chelsea game, Then it was not quite ready for Chelsea and now its 8-10 weeks...but with Souness saying he'll be back sooner!!! Can you imagine hearing a toon player is injured say on monday, on tuesday they're checked out mediaclly and on wednesday they give us the time out and it not only remians unchanged but its actually correct!!!!
22. Leave the phone where? Bet you head off for another wank eh? 56014 Probably not another wank, statistically they likely interruped him during one! And dependng on their timing they may get the idea he's very excited abot their offer!
23. I know what you mean, i can see why blokes would dance to pull, but to actually enjoy it in itself
