1. That shouldnt be funny cos she's done nowt wrong at all, but part of me is inclined to agree. 51194 I know, I wasn't joking. Imagine if you found out about the Munroe transfer and washing the dog when you were 14! 51198 Thats the way of things on the internet, no censorship which is a fantastic thing, but occasionally somebody young will see/hear something they maybe shouldn't.
2. I think Shearer is in need of a rest having played virtually all the time this season, and Shola has to now take the opportunity of building on his performance against the mackems.
3. I wouldn't worry, you're not being treat any differently (well by me anyway) as Jimbo gets a mention in most threads these days, regardless of the starting topic!
4. Have been thinking for a couple of weeks now that had it not been for Chewsee's billionaire, this season could well have been one of the best for years. 51167 Aside from the title, which is already Chelsea's this will possibly be the hardest season ever to predict who will finish where. Though their is still the likelyhood that manu/arse will scrape their way into the top 4 as ususal, but if ever there was a season when they mightn't this is it. The problem that is spoiling it from being a great, open and exciting season is that by and large there is some shite fotball being played, far too many dull, negative teams and tactics.
5. I read the full article and it wasn't encouraging as it basically ammounted to "he's my main man and will always play regardless of form and other players available" I've no problem with a manager defending his players and trying to keep their spirits up, but he has to acknowledge the bloke has not been playing well recently and that Taylor and Bramble deserve to play ahead of him when they are in form and he isn't.
6. For some reason i'm confident of a win and maybe even a good performance!!! Then again we will have Owen, Emre, Nobby and Parker playing at the same time so we should be expecting a good performance and a win.
7. Can't speak for others but the reasons i defended Robert (under Bobby and Souness) is because of what he had done for us and was still doing for us in terms of goals scored, created and generally being the only midfielder likely to do either at times. The manager doesn't even need to come into my defence of Robert. 51116 I realise theres an element of that in people argument and what I said probably more applies to Bellamy in terms of the blind (imo) "never did any wrong" views. I always recognised the balance in Robert which benefitted us most of the time but by the end was going too far to the "too much bother" side. 51119 Thats the thing, in all the time i defended Bellamy and Robert's place at NUFC i never thought either of them were perfect or did nothing wrong. BUt all i ever give a toss about is the teams results and were were far better with them than without, and especially in the case of Bellamy we still would be far better off, but we don't want to open that debate again
8. So can Jimbo, in fact he does little else!

10. What are you on about? You think we were the better team, or something? They beat us on merit, man, nowt to do with the referee. 51013 Ball across the line, penalty appeals cough, cough Are you that blind old linesman. Not saying we would have won if these were given because we were and are shit! 51060 I said they beat us on merit and that is regardless of penalty appeals and ball over the line stuff. Some you get, some you don't, that's football. I hate it as much as the next bloke when these jokers cock it up, but they were better than us and deserved to win. That's the point. 51066 Its entirely irrelivent who you (or either team/manager) thinks deserves to win. If you play shite for 90 mins and take your only chance whilst the other team batters you all match and can't score, tough shit, the team who scored deserves the win as they did what was required. And anyway "deserves" is a totally subjective opinion. What is beyond question is when the ref and/or linesman have affetced the result through their mistakes. Whether we played well or shite a penalty is a penalty, a goal over the line is a goal. We should have had a pen at 0-0, one at 1-0 and a goal at 1-0, that is the simple facts, who deserved to win i couldn't give a flying fuck about. And i didn't think we played well either, when do we these days, but what we did do was enough to create two pens and a goal, none of which we got.
11. Chelsea and Jose must be pissing themselves laughing these days as they watch manu and the arse struggle to get anywhere near them! Manu/arse have rarely if ever been good enough in europe against the best but they used to stroll the prem, now they are struggling in that as well by their standards, and its most amusing!!!
12. Ian Wright is a cock and also absolutely talentless as regards presenting and appearing on TV, though in this day and age thats pretty much the norm! Barnes is absolutely dire when an autocue is involved, if he's just talking as himself with his own words he's ok.
13. 1. For me its Robert with the added bonus that he can playup front if needed 2. Nobody really, he offers an option on the left, but sees himself ultimately as a central midfielder 3. Owen is Shearer's replacement for when he retires with the bonus that he is here before Shearer retires 4. I wouldn't keep him myself 5. If he could stay fit and score 15 a season then yes, if not he's an option in central mid, right mid and up front but not a replacement for Bellamy 50746 So I take it you're optimistic that we'll still have Owen next year, Ive got my doubts to be honest. 50869 Well thats certainly Freddy and Souness' intention to replace one all time great goal scoring legend and England international with another. I think he will still be here personally...and if he isn't we're fucked!
14. I am still waiting for even one post that isn't devoted to Robert from him To be fair i think this incident was big enough to warrant a thread being started if people care that much about the bloke, it wasn't just him having a shite game. However it still remians the case that whenever people whinge about too many boring Robert/Bellamy threads, its always the "haters" who start these threads. Bellamy scored twice againts arguably the best defence in football at this point in time, but we don't need a thread about it. It goes to show though, if he stays fit for enough games, this bollocks that he is still a "10 a season striker" will be shown to be absolute nonsense and that doesn't even account for all the goals he creates as well.
15. Is it because you don't drink? And since Ross Noble was mentioned earlier in the thread, might as well add he was on Have I got News for you tonight and both he and the programme were excellent as usual.
16. I'm going to take a wild guess that it was Souness being sacked!

18. Do any of our senior first team players play in reserve games ever? 50642 Virtually never, we prefer to chuck them straight back into full premiership action and get them knacked again! According to the chronicle Souness is now saying they are taking no chances whatsoever with Dyer (which is right) and that its up to him as well. Also he mentioned the international break, saying you may see him before then, but it hints that if they aren't 100% sure he won't appear until after the break. As for Moore i don't recall any mention of pay as you play so i suspect we have been payign him in full for his time here thus far.
19. Thats the problem, he did see it and chose to do fuck all which is frightening! If he'd just missed it at least its human error and not him being a thick twat!
20. And as a side issue, yet more truly shite refereeing from an English ref, they really are a shower of fuckwitts, he's 5 yards away from that and saw it, he needs to be sacked for that.
21. An owld man playing with an injury and he still scores. That's why Shittle is playing for Grimsby. 'Cos he's a fucking nobody. 49892 Great Avatar man. Well we managed to get through, hopefully no new injuries..... 49895 All it needs is a few fawning mackems trying to suck it to show their love for him and it's perfect. 49896 Well no doubt the obsessed feckers will now make him a cult hero, maybe sign him, he looks about the right standard for the Mackems. 49897 Yes, probably get about 10,000 turning up for the signing to have a massive jizzfest at "the man who elbowed shearer"

23. Shearer, like the rest of us knows he could knock the bloke flat on his arse if he wanted to, but he has the brains not to so he doesn't get sent off. He did the best thing, scored and knocked the prick and his team out of the cup, hope he made several mentions of it to the arsehole during the match!
24. Sad bastards! 49882 Can you imagine as a toon fan ever sitting there and obsessively just spitting out pure bile and hatred over an SAFC player over and over again, they really are an embrassment! As a toon fan i couldn't give a shit about any of their players and certainly have little interest in any of them beign elbowed in the face, but then i do tend to devote my time and effort to my own team rather than living obsessivley concerned with my superior neighbours up the road! There's also this gem: Could it be he actually played because the manager picked him and because OWen, Shola, Dyer, Luque and anyone else who can play up front was injured, or am i just letting the facts get in the way of talking bollocks!
25. Over on SMB there is at least 3-4 threads devoted solely to Shearer getting elbowed and how much they love that happening, is there really any group of people out there more depressingly sad than that shower
