1. Take out the CL guarentee from the first option and the 12th place from the second, and if you could guarentee Souness out and Hitzfeld in then everyone would have to choose option one if they cared anything about the long term future of our club. However it is as you said hypothetical banter so we won't know what will happen. My prediciton is if we lose or draw he won't be sacked, my prediction for the game itself, i think we'll win...just!
2. You obviously don't listen to a word anyone says, do you? 46454 Oh I listen, but if you really don't fall into the group of people that want us to lose so Souness leaves then the comments aren't aimed at you are they? So what you worrying about? 46455 No your comments don't relate to me. But what I don't think you realise is that NO Newcastle fan wants us to lose to the mackems or will be in anyway supporting them. It's just that some people can see it might be better for us in the long run. This is one issue that is full of what ifs and maybes - it certainly isn't black and white like you are suggesting. 46460 Oh its not black and white is it not, that must mean its red and white then...you mackem loving bastard, why don't you piss off and support them then!
3. The strange thing is they're implying the woman fancied the girl and wanted her, so what were the condoms for!!!
4. Good to see Harmy and Freddie continuing the English superiority over the aussies even if the rest of the world can't quite match them Shame that its not a smaller run chase as it could be an exciting finish, but with McGrath, Warne and some batsmen in poor form i can't see them getting that close, unless a Lara or somebody just has one of those days where they are untouchable.
5. We'll not see OWen at his best until the manager gets the team playing with width and better passing to provide Owen the space to make his perfectly timed runs and get the ball played to him when he does. He may not be as lightning fast as when he first arrived in football but he's still a pacy striker who we should be getting so much more out of.
6. I agree about futuristic hindsight, it gets on my tits as well as you can't know what it going to happen for sure. To be honest i don't even think a loss to the mackems will neccesarilly bring about a sacking this time from Fat Fred so i don't think a defeat would have a sort of positive side to it if you like. But i do think every fan is different and as long as they coem to St. James and back the team for 90 mins as best they can and to help as much as they can, then they are free to feel how they want about a result, whether its a short term devestation at losing to the mackems and nowt else or that plus a feeling of being happy should it get the manager out.
7. Who's said they don't want to win though? Renton starts by saying he wants to win, then makes other points and Leazes makes a point about Hitzfeld, but nobody has said they don't want to win as every toon fan will always want to beat the mackems.
8. The way he's banging them in at the moment Woodgate would soon be our top scorer if we signed him again!
9. So you're having a go at fans for maybe accepting (or even wishing for) a defeat for NUFC, but if the fans reacted in a way you don't like you want us to be relegated!!! Thats some seriously fucked up logic Simple fact, every toon fan wants to win this match and anybody who says there are fans who don't want to is talking bollocks and knows fine well they are. As for how devestated each fan is personally if we were to lose, well its nothing to do with you at all and the fact you think you can set the "level of devestation" every fan should feel before they be allowed back into St. James (or be banned) is beyond arrognace and into moronic territory. What is the level of devestation i should feel (if the worst happens and we lose) as i'd really like to know before i ask you if i can come back to the next game. Does it have to be suicidal or can i get away with just being gutted at losing to that shower?
10. 40 points from 38 is utter shite with any number of excuses people want to use about needing time, getting your own team and injuries etc.
11. Less chance of a toon player being injured, therefore a good thing.
12. 1. Emre - easy decision we are a different team the second he sets foot on the pitch 2. Shearer - played well, battled for everything and scored a goal 3. Nobody really stands out for 3rd
13. Possibly if he changed his name to Alan Shearer and put on a convincing gerodie accent!
14. I always thought the aussies would win the one dayers and the test because as has been mentioned they are just a group of players thrown together who don't play in a team normally and who it won't mean as much to, whereas the aussies were itching to beat anybody they could get a shot at after the ashes and a world XI would do them nicely. I read in the paper that Flintoff had bottles thrown at him by the crowd, still bitter about the ahses then and thats behaviour the aussies make a massive fuss about when it happens to them in Pakistan or India, so i fully expect their captain and players to condemn their own crowd.
15. press 'print screen' Paste into paint save as a jpeg host it in image shack There's also a save face option in the top right of the picture. That might be simpler 46219 Cheers, but i didn't manage to come up with anything worth saving!
16. I agree, i'd have him out as well, but that was three massive decisions, one definite goal and two pens which are likely goals, that i'm afraid makes the officials the main factor in the game and that is a sad state of affairs. And it clear when you watch teams like Wigan you see the benefit of good coaching, organisation, motivation, training and fitness to get the best out of your squad of players, something we lack. But if anybody could ever be arsed to watch all of our games on tape over a season you will find an almighty difference between the ammount of shite decisions against us than for us. 46216 I think if you watched all our games from last season to this you would just be amazed by the amount of shite. 46217 I think i'd be amazed anybody could watch all those games in one go without comitting suicide!!!

18. How do you get the pic from there to show on this board?
19. Boring to have to say it again but Souness is replacing the sooon to retire Shearer with Owen and i totally agree with him on that decision, currently he hasn't replaced Bellamy (and Kluivert for that matter) and will have to replace Bellamy in January. 44917 So what are you saying? Our tactics are now that Shearer feeds off Owen's flick-ons are they? Souness really does need shot. Bellamy was the number 10 striker, so is Owen. I think you'll find someone like Anelka or Kuyt will be the Shearer replacement...NOT Owen. 46142 Shearer was the number one striker, Owen will be. Shearer was the number one player responsible for scoring goals, Owen will be Shearer had the worldwide reputation, Owen does Shearer was a proven scorer at EVERY level consistently, Owen is The team relied heavilly on Shearer, they will/do now on Owen Shearer was a massive signing finacially and to lift the club, so is Owen I could go on alot longer but if you can't understand the fact Owen is Shearers replacement because they are different types of player you will never get it. Bellamy's replacement doesn't have to be lightning fast and Welsh, Shearer's replacement doesn't have to be a big tough geordie. And add in the fact that Shephered said Owen is Al's replacement, Souness said it, Shearer said it and OWen acknowledged it as well as he knew he was retiring.
20. Is that an Abu Hamza handful. 46199 It certainly is!
21. To be fair to the ref as hopeless as he was it is a hard job and often its swings and roundabouts with decisions. Yes the inconsistency is infuriating but it does happen to most clubs at stages over the season. However one thing that is consistant is our managers ability to fail to pick up many points... 46200 Indeed and as people know i don't rate Souness at all, but i'll blame him when its his fault (which in part it was) and when its the officials i'll blame them (which it mainly was). And the problem with the "swings and roundabuts" or "evens itself out over the season" cliches is that they are a collosall lie! We get shafted for a whole season as do some other clubs, some end up with about the same for and against and then the likes of manu and the arse spend the season getting everything.
22. Agree with Isegrim and Leazes this fantasy bullshit peopel come up with about how we were "lucky" and "continually punching above our weight" gets right on my tits. The league table tells you everything and three years running we were top 5, the reason being we were better than all the teams below us over the course of a long gruelling season playign every team twice, and we were wrose than those teams above us. When peopel come up with this bollocks about how we were so lucky and weren't playing as well as other teams etc. etc. well unless you sat and watched every minute of everry prem teams games (home and away) i'd love to know how you can judge exactly where we should have finished in the league. Another one i hear that really is laughable is when people say, "we only finished 4th/3rd/5th because the teams below us were shite/didn't play well etc." Thats the point of a fecking legaue, if you don't play well you finish further down!
23. Back into the latter parts of Bobby's reign and throughout Souness' time you are looking at less than a handful of games where you really loved it and enjoyed 90 mins of football!
24. Starting with Faye ahead of others was stupid and despite having Owen and Shearer we play without enough width or attacking play, so i'm not happy with that, but... The team Souness put out there did enough to earn two pens and a perfectly good goal, which the officials being fuckign twats decided not to give us, so i'm certainly not putting all the blame on Souness for this. I don't rate him but there's fuck all the bloke can do when his team create an opening for a pen to go 1-0 up, create one for a pen to equalise and score a goal to equalise. I'm fucking sick to death of games in the prem being decided by the cunts in charge who are employed by neither team.
25. Thats the really bad luck part, that its all the same type of players out at the same time, all the ones who provide the pace, skill, vision and variation needed in a team that plays the way we do currently! I look forward to seeing Parker and Emre together with Nobby and Luque around them and Dyer making an appearance at some point!
