  1. Very good player when his head is in the right place. One of Hughes' greatest achievements at Blackburn was to get Bentley and Bellamy playing at the top of their games.
  2. I'm not as concerned by Smith starting up front than I thought I would be, although it does beg the question what does Ranger have to do to get a start if Smudger is preferred to him.

    New Year

Come around mine and pipe me off if you want, should fill up a few minutes of your night Like the aforementioned bars, pubs and clubs my rates go up on NYE too

    New Year

I hate New Year. Awful night ruined by part time drinkers and all bars, pubs and clubs charging exorbitant amounts for their services. Mates seem to have decided similar and consequently I'm not doing anything. I may possibly head to see a few members of my closer family and have a few drinks but that's it. Christ, I'm 23
  5. Welbeck looked awful last year at Preston when we played them. Thought he'd never make it in the top flight as long as I had a hole in my arse but he's proven me wrong this season, he's had a Carrollesque growth spurt and looks a very handy player. Comparing him to HBA at this stage is bloody demented though. He's played out of his skin for about a dozen matches in a team which is on a magnificent run of form, Ben Arfa is a 23 year old French international who has played at the top level since he was in the throws of puberty. Sunderland's major problem is that if Fergie feels Welbeck any good he's going back to Man United. It'll be Jonny Evans all over again.
  6. Jesus wept, why do they give a fuck? They're having their best season in years, they've got an owner and chairman willing to help match their daft ambitions and they're still getting arsey about players we're signing.
  7. He's shot and he'll be on huge wages. Rather we looked elsewhere.
  8. Very daft considering the AFC match has been postponed. I only put the bet on at 11 o'clock. Pitch inspection was at 9am

  10. Just ordered one. I'll be pestering you all for links to 'free' ebooks in a week or so.
  11. The jokes aren't offensive in the slightest. Shame that like almost everything broadcast in his series they're not funny either. This Tramadol Nights lark has been a disaster, he's a one trick pony.
  12. Bollocks according to Colin Warris
  13. Or he could just sell it at face value to someone who will appreciate it rather than try to rip his fellow fans off.
  14. I'll give the cheeky fucker £3.72 for it.
  15. If we're going on a calendar year, that's a bit harsh. He was great from Jan to May, and one of the big reasons we scored so many goals in the second half of last season. Highest point: Demolition Derby Lowest point: Hughton's sacking Game of the season: Newcastle 5-1 Sunderland Goal of the year: Ben Arfa vs. Everton Refereeing thiefery: Man City away. Last weeks was a joker as well (vs. liverpoo) Most improved player: Nolan Most disappointing player: Best It's the disappointment of seeing how good he was last year and how much he's struggled this year. I know we've stepped up in quality but I saw nothing to suggest he couldn't replicate some of last years form in the top flight.
  16. Highest point: Smashing the Mackems after all the bravado from their end Lowest point: Hughton's sacking Game of the season: Newcastle 5-1 Sunderland Goal of the year: Ben Arfa against Everton Refereeing thiefery: Man City 2-1 Newcastle. A leg breaking challenge from De Jong goes unpunished, a magnificent challenge from Williamson outside the box and they're rewarded with a penalty. Overall Marriner's performance against Everton was worse but we won that game so he just gets off. Most improved player: Andy Carroll Most disappointing player: Wayne Routledge
  17. Off according to journos on Twitter.
  18. He was fucking Jose Fonte's lass at Southampton. One of the many reasons he got sacked

    Boro

True. He put loads of cash into the club, got them to a level they should by rights never have reached and the fans still failed to turn up.

You should take the positives out of peoples misfortune, but if that happened it couldn't happen to a nicer club. 10 points deduction with relegation already a possibility, 1985 revisited perhaps? Only this time bankruptcy would mean the end of the club as it should have done in 85. I'd struggle to find sympathy for the Boro if truth be told. Every fan I have met has been either borderline mentally ill or obsessed with both us and the Mackems to point which can only be unhealthy, which is why the trophy virgins banner did not surprise me last season. The only Boro fan I do like is Harry Pearson

Anyone else heard the rumours today that the club is very close to administration? Apparently suppliers are being told to get their invoices in ASAP in preparation. I was told Gibson was struggling financially at the start of the season and I know Slaven has been bleating about getting new investment in on the Legends.
  22. http://swissramble.blogspot.com/2010/12/ne...-black-and.html It's nothing you couldn't have guessed just from looking at the way the club has been ran over the past decade but a very interesting read none the less. Leazes may want to avoid this one.
