    I want NUFC to succeed. The problem is I don't think it'll ever happen with Ashley, Llambias and to a lesser extent Pardew at the club therefore I believe protests and boycotts to be the way forward. Short term pain for long term gain.

    I haven't heard the Barton/Guthrie stuff but I assume the Hugton falling out with Nolan stuff was made up by the club to weaken his position as it seemed to start when speculation about his job did.

    I notice the club have went on a Keeganesque PR offensive regarding transfers. "No, Kevin didn't sign Bassong. That was the work of the board. He wanted Franco Baresi." Replace Bassong with Tiote/Ben Arfa/Williamson etc.

    See my previous post. He was trying his hardest to get the job while Hughton still had it and was doing a good job. He's as much of a cunt as the other two imo. Exactly. I'll never buy the argument he was just offered it and couldn't turn it down. He was complicit in getting Hughton the sack. The BBC say he's been talking to the club for 10 days but those in the knows who were unfortunately spot on have been saying Pardew for months.

    Genuinely think we'll go down under Pardew. The transition from Hughton, who coaxed performances out of players by being diplomatic, respectful and hard working to Pardew, who gets pissed and fucks his players wives will be too much.

    The telly reason is a total load of bollocks, we've been on more than Man City and Tottenham. 500k per game, as if that makes a difference, someone like Jol would cost £2m more than Hughton a year anyway. Poor journalism from Bird who I know from years ago and is a really good lad. It chimes with what some people ITK have said elsewhere, especially the bit about him milking the applause.
