    I agree with JawD. Ashley can only get away with this because of apathy, people are far too willing to shrug their shoulders after a week or two and accept the shite we're presented with out of some misplaced notion of support. There needs to be a concerted effort to make a stand now not just for one game but until Ashley either runs this club professionally or fucks off entirely. It may not work, but neither will sitting on our hands whinging at the results every other Saturday. Hopefully this'll be the start of something coordinated that we can really get behind, something that the NUST should be doing but for whatever reason aren't.

    I want NUFC to succeed. The problem is I don't think it'll ever happen with Ashley, Llambias and to a lesser extent Pardew at the club therefore I believe protests and boycotts to be the way forward. Short term pain for long term gain. That's what it comes down to. Are enough people willing to take the short term pain? From an outsiders point of view, you struggled and got relegated largely due to Ashley, but because you had some good players left and a half decent young manager, you came back up. It's easy to lose sight of the original problem with that success and your premier league wins, but Ashley is still there and will still make poor decisions. At best under him you might be a yo-yo club, and Newcastle should be more than that. We'll soon find out. I think quite a few people may say enough is enough if we look like heading down a second time, especially with the three year season ticket deals coming to an end. The more I think about it the more I believe could go very wrong for Ashley without a coordinated protest because people are getting fed up.

    I haven't heard the Barton/Guthrie stuff but I assume the Hugton falling out with Nolan stuff was made up by the club to weaken his position as it seemed to start when speculation about his job did.

    Probably because the club ban journalists who ask critical questions. McNally seems pretty adamant he's going to ask him what he's doing here when Hughton was doing such a good job but you never know.

    See my previous post. He was trying his hardest to get the job while Hughton still had it and was doing a good job. He's as much of a cunt as the other two imo. Exactly. I'll never buy the argument he was just offered it and couldn't turn it down. He was complicit in getting Hughton the sack. The BBC say he's been talking to the club for 10 days but those in the knows who were unfortunately spot on have been saying Pardew for months.

    Genuinely think we'll go down under Pardew. The transition from Hughton, who coaxed performances out of players by being diplomatic, respectful and hard working to Pardew, who gets pissed and fucks his players wives will be too much.
