500 gigs of music? Are you sure? I make that about 10,000 albums and it would take you over a year to listen to them all once if you did nothing else and didn't sleep. Sounds a bit excessive. I dunno, you can download things like the Beatles discography, or Elvis' and thats a fair few gig right there. it's really easy to acquire a staggering amount of music without really knowing you're doing it. If you add films and tv to the mix as well...

my thing is more about how can they offer me a "better" job when they've already said that the only way to get that better job is with on-the-job training... I'm worried that they're offering me this job in Harrogate so that they can keep the job in Leeds in their back-pocket. if the job in Harrogate isn't too much more I'd rather take the job in Leeds and save money, instead of getting a few extra quid in my pocket, just to see that and more go into the pocket of someone else via petrol, road tax and car insurance. *by "they" I mean Kellys, not Park Row

No, it's not a graduate job, it's just to tide me over. That's my main issue, see the job I was initially offered was entry level clerking, and the guy said that the next job up the ladder required vocational qualifications. So how can they offer me a job with better pay and more responsibility if I don't have those qualifications? oh and yeah it's the recruitment people.

because these days the teachers are so shackled by liberal sandalistas they can't properly discipline kids? do your home work! no, you can't make me and if you touch me or raise your voice I'll sue! well... erm... go to the headmaster! no... I'm glad we had this chat then.

Jesus tonight! Did you see the trainers i bought? Aye, from space!

I was going to go into the Leeds office today, if I spoke to the guy himself I'd feel he could allay my concerns. Other options is keep working at the pub and play the waiting game.

obejectively I find the current Media Player format difficult to navigate. Obviously if I needed to use it more often I'd grow accustomed, but iTunes barely took ten minutes to "master"

Urgent as in time sensitive rather than "Help I'm being savaged by a grizzly, what do I do?" Kelly's services have offered me a job, it was the position I applied for on thursday. The guy interviewing was really posisitive and alluded to my working in that office and redressing an imbalance of the men to women ratio. He commented on how he wanted to work with people with good personality etc. He talked about promotion prospects, how all I need do is complete a couple of "in house" qualifications (cf1 and cf3) and I'd be on the path to a career etc. etc. etc. and he as much as offered me the job on the spot. This morning I got a phonecall from Kelly's saying that the job being offered is better than the one advertised, with more pay and more responsibility... but it's in Harrogate. Now I've got no problem going to Harrogate but I'm concerned. Why would the guy make all those noise about my working in that office and such when he was going to offer me a position elsewhere? What could the job be if it is neither the entry level job I applied for and ,because of the lack of those qualifications, the next rung up the career ladder? I'm worried that Kelly's, now that they've found me a palce, are trying to farm me out to Harrogate so they've a Leeds central job to offer to someone else. Also the wage difference wasn't clarified even after I asked her to, so if it's 15k in Harrogate but 14k in Leeds then I could be content to work in Leeds for a year or so. The money I'd save on car-tax etc. Am I just being paranoid because the last few jobs I've have turned out to be god awful mess?

Dingy? that's the lazst word I'd have used, but I guess it does get ridiculously busy on the weekends, during the week it's much better. The main problem is that people bottleneck at the bar near to the door instead of spreading themselves the length of it and because they all jam up there it seems to be far more busy than it actually is. Well if that's the case it's a badly designed pub then. Plus their quiz is shit and our prize was a pizza from Pianas. Their pub quiz is utter bollocks like. The design of the pub isn't the problem, it's that your average first and second year student is a fucking moron.

after whats happenned with tevez and mascherano? I think that had more to do with shady dealings with the organisation behind the move than the ability of Tevez and Mascherano though. -

if he's that good surely a bigger team would have already popped their hat into the ring... I reckon this is mostly an American getting far too excited about another American playing a sport dominated by non-Americans. it's a more literate version of GOOCH IS AWESOME OMGLOLZ!!!!11 -

I know ti helps to know the barstaff, but I can get served a lot quicker in the HP than in the Royal. You're right about the Oak and Royal though, the Royal park is pretty grotty and the Oak is crazy if you don't avoid the Otley run crush.

maybe we treat the iPod better than the guys CoB knows?

had my iPod for a couple of years and use it daily, only had ever had one problemwith it, but that was fixed by a simple reset. I've looked at friends Zen and (although it's probably bias) I prefer the iPod functionality. Certainly better facilities online for the iPod. I think it looks better and despite it's popularity, I think it still has an element of "cool" about it. the few people I know who actively dislike the iPod seem to do so as a reaction to it's popularity, rather than an objection to the gizmo itself. Because lots of white leads are spotted all over the place they instinctively want to rebel against it.
