It's good this. Loved Cindy Lauper from Goonies.

That works quite well although it misses out a Coen brothers and a Star Wars. -
The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread

I think Crouch is exactly the type of striker we'll be looking for. Maybe Ricky Lambert would be another option. Not sure about SDJ even if could get fit. He's another number 10 type, for me the problem is a bit depper. -
Santon probably but we've really struggled for leftbacks since Beresford/Elliott.
-
Anita puts the effort in, he's just lacking in ability. And he doesn't go on about being a champions league player all the time. But there's none of our players in the last two or three seasons who have greatly impressed.
-
Well I was thinking more Ritchie and Aarons/new signing. I'd never have Anita in my team. He's fucking awful.
-
That might be the reason he's not played yet. But we don't necessarily need him to play that often (at least at first). Got to be worth a go on one side or the other. I don't buy that we'd need someone like Gouffran in for defensive assistence. We've played with a defensive midfielder wide both games and we've conceeded. Personally I think we'd be better off looking to blitz the opposition with two wingers. I think we have the ability to not worry about the opposition, we just need to push on more ourselves.
-
I'm not sure what the stats say but I've watched just about every game he's ever had for us and my eyes tell me he's fucking wank. Not sure you'll ever see strikers making many tackles, I agree about his shooting though. I wasn't thinking about him playing for him being a goal threat himself though, just for bringing others into the game. I've seen him look ok at holding the ball up. Obviously I'd rather we didn't have to consider him but we're short of alternatives until Mitro is back or we sign someone. The way we've played the first two games hasn't worked. Sounds like he might be off sooner rather than later though so it might be a moot point.

Our defence was looking a lot more secure at the end of last season under Benitez when Lascelles was brought in. So in that sense I can understand why there's not been much in the way of changes. Like I mentioned on another thread, we still have a lot of players who have been here for the last two seasons when we've been awful. Their confidence is still low and their heads are dropping easily. I think he should look at bring in Gamez into the back four. After spending the last two seasons with Athletico you would assume his confidence would be a lot higher than the rest. I'm surprised we've seen nothing of him so far but I can't imagine it will be long before we do. Of course getting Dummett out of the team has to be a priority.
-
Ritchie is a right winger and has been our best player so far. I can't see anyone playing ahead of him providing he's fit. I think there's a lack of confidence in the team. We've spent the last couple of seasons getting spanked and it's hurt them mentally. Rafa has mentioned a few times how when they make a mistake their heads go down. We shouldn't expect this to change overnight just because we're now in a lower division. We need to start winning games then I think we'll see a big change.

-
We're not still asking that question are we? I think it's obvious these are his players. From what Hayden said when he signed, Rafa knew all about him.
-
Yes he really is that bad. He looks awkward because he's fucking clueless. Next question.

I agree Marvel get right more than DC which is disapointing for me because X Men aside, I generally have a preference for DC. DC have had the greatest success for my money with the Nolan films but have also probably had the biggest failures. I think Superman is a very difficult character to get right because he's just too fucking powerful. Whereas Batman should be a bit easier since he has no real powers of his own. Getting good people in to make the films obviously helps. -

I didn't mean to pick on Marvel there btw. SS is pretty poor, the latest Batman and Superman efforts have been pretty turgid, Wonder Woman looks uninspiring and worst of all Green Lantern was a massive let down. And both comics have had successes, there's at least four X Men films I've really enjoyed, the Nolan Batman films were brilliant, the first Spiderman, Iron Man, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool are all really good. I actually thought Antman was pretty entertaining too. And yes all those other films you mention are pretty bad too. None of this improves Civil War though which was just a disapointing film. Especially coming on the back of the best Capt America film. -

I've never had the dedication to comic books that you obviously have but I've been interested in them since I was a kid. I've read some of the bigger crossover stories (mainly DC ones like Death of Superman and Infinate Crisis), I watched the old X-Men and Spiderman cartoons (going back to the ones with Ice Man and Firestar) and I've probably seen all of the DC & Marvel films. I know who most of the character are, Vision was a new one on me but I had enough interest to look him up when he appeared in Age Of Ultron. So it's not that I lack the interest, I've actually been waiting for a lot of these movies for years (Green Lantern & X Men Apocalypse in paricular). But yes I think there is a bit of fatigue now as there's just so many of them and I find it a bit sad that Hollywood seems pretty incapable of making a blockbuster action film these days that isn't based on a comic book. A bit of variety would go a long way to keeping my interest. But none of this changes that too many of these films (Hulk, Thor, Age Of Ultron, Captain America 1 & 3, Iron Man 2 & 3 etc etc) just aren't that great. -
Death of a Gentleman is good, I watched it a couple of months back. Makes the boards of the big three cricketing nations look dodgy as fuck.

It's just dull as fuck. It starts off with a big action scene (from memory) and I just found myself sitting in the theatre thinking this should be exciting but it's just boring me. Much the same as the second avengers film. The only films with Capt American in that I've enjoyed were the Winter Soldier and the first Avengers. I agree in some ways with your point about the writing (in particular), story, characters etc but the film was less than the sum of its parts. I don't think SS is a good film by the way, I just thought there was more to enjoy in it. I've got no desire to watch either of them again though as I can just look at pictures of Margot Robie's arse on the internet without having to put up with the Fresh Prince. -

Spiderman was the only one worth rooting for. Deadpool is the only comic book film I've really enjoyed this year. The fact that there's been so many is a problem imo. -

I went to see Suicide squad last Sunday. It's poor in a lot of ways (well every way other than her arse) but I enjoyed it much more than Civil War. CW just bored me from the start until Spiderman came into it. It just wasn't fun. The writing in SS was awful but there was an element of fun to it. -

Don't think it ever was. Don't think he's what we need either. -
I think Tiote will be out looking for another team. He seems to do this periodically then comes back and ups his game for a bit when he fails to find one.
-
He's never featured since McClarens last game I think. Not sure if he's fit, I don't think he went to Ireland with the rest of the team, so it might be a non starter.

Empire somehow have it as their favourite movie of the year so far. I think it's the worst film I've been to see this year.
