Of all the teams that look most threatened by relegation, they have the best goal scorer in Defoe and the most experienced premier league manager. In that respect you could say they have the best chance of getting out of it. I still think they look a very good bet to go down like. And if Defoe gets injured for any length of time they'd be completely fucked.

I'd probably not pay like as I have my parents sky go and I can just plug my laptop into the telly if I'm struggling to get a stream on Kodi. And for our matches I'll either be there or in the pub. But I'm interested to have a look at what options there are.

They have to let one of the spinners start at least. I can't see Broad being much use to us at all in this match. Might have been worth leaving him out and going with four spinners. Not that I think we'd ever go that way.

The matches maybe (and yestderdays training by the looks of it) but there will have been training before hand and just being away from home in this sort of environment (with the very different security and such). He's bound to be a bit more comfortable with it in the future if he comes back. I'm not saying there's much (if any) improvement as a player he's going to get from it but I just think it will help him be more comfortable with the situation whenever his real time comes.

I just think at his age any time he spends with the rest of the squad is going to be valuable. So will spending time over in the sub continent. Ok so he might not play but it seems that he's destined to play at some point in the future. When that time comes he'll have this experience to fall back on.

Who you using for that?

Is it not good for Hameed just to be on the tour for a bit of experience at that age? I would have played Butler instead of Ballance. Ballance has never convinced me and Buttler is already used to the conditions over there and was in great form in the ODI's.

Beardsley? Hang your head in shame.

Didn't think we were ruling out the juniors that went before the official academy's.

J69's discarded soiled knicker sniffers vs Brentford

Isn't Gouffran's contract up at the end of the season? I can't see him getting another one despite the fact that Rafa obviously trusts him in this division. -
I take it you don't mean all in one go. If so from my time going to the game you could have; Forster Watson Taylor Howey Elliott Clark Gazza Aarons Thompson Carroll Shola Apologies for the sensible answer.

Who would have wanted Pardew to turn up though? Certainly no one who was there with their lass.

That's not something the mackems have ever been very good at.

You just giving our opposition free goals now?

He was outstanding against Villa and ok against Rotherham and Brentford which are the only games I've seem him play I think. I feel Mbemba is a better player and a much better long term option. But Clark looks more than good enough at this level. -
It'll be interesting to see how much they do throw at January, especially if they're not much better off than they are now. The summer suggested to me that Short has them working to a much smaller budget than most teams in the division and they were struggling to attract players. If they're right in the shit come January, they're going to struggle to get much more than loan players in. Their best hope is probably another manager and hoping that he can give them a bounce. Of course longer term that's just going to keep the cycle of shit going as it has been and if they keep doing it, sooner or later it will fail and they'll be relegated. I've not really seen much of them this season but looking at their squad, I think this will be the season they go down.

Aye Dummett is only embarrassing himself in about 50% of the games in this division. Fortunately the ball was rarely near him on Saturday because when he did get it, he was still sticking to what he knows. Passing back inside (to Clark now instead of Coloccini). I can't say I'm massively concerned about the away games being to 11th and 13th in the league. Anyone is capable of beating us if we don't play up to scratch but that's as a nice a run as we can ever expect to have really. I am in total agreement with you about playing two up front. I'm still seeing crosses go into the box without us having any presence in there looking to win the ball in the air. I think Mitro would get a load of chance and also help get Gayle even more than he's getting at the moment. -
I've never seen him play as a number 10 before this season. Whenever I've seen him in the past he's been bursting from midfield. He doesn't look like he knows what to do when his starting position is further forward.

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched

Train To Busan. Korean zombie film set (unsurprisingly) on a train to the city of Busan. It has a few interesting new ideas for the genre and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Gandhi. I'd never seen it before and it was the perfect film while I was hungover and stuck on the settee yesterday. It's clearly a very interesting story and Kingsley is great in the title role.
