As a straight swap for Townsend I think we would have struggled to do better. Very happy with this. Couple of defenders, a centre mid and selling that cunt sissoko and I'll be over the moon.

Townsend will be too once he puts him defensive midfield.
-
Read yesterday that he was 5'9". Agree with your point though.

From what little I've seen and read, I don't think he's suited to being a one up front on his own. Would do better playing with Mitro. Personally I'm sick to death of one up front. What's the matter with two strikers these days.
-
I suppose the thing is, £10m isn't going to get you a finished article premier league striker these days. Everyone with any knowledge of him seems to think he'll bang them in for us in the championship this season. If that's the case then we'll have got our money's worth and if we go up and he's not up to premier league standard we should be able to at least get the money back.
-
Aye it's been wank generally. That scene was by far the best there and totally because of Diana Rigg.

Zem, halow, Phoenix, njm all pretty much cover it for me

Aye varys's teleportation was one of the only things that felt off. Especially as you knew it was coming.

Don't think Beric or Thoros were ever on her list were they? Certainly not in the books but maybe in the series for letting Mel take gendry. Thought the last two episodes were excellent. Bit disappointed not to see any white walkers or the hound pop up in some capacity. But I loved grey worm's bit with the masters, cersei, lady moremont (again), the battle, Ramsey's end, pycelle getting his book ending eventually, arya and the Frey pie and Tommen. Top stuff.
-
Aye once Bran reaches the wall he'll ruin the magic that blocks the white walkers from going through it.
-
Maybe. It is interesting to see how when he's with her he falls back towards being much more of a cunt but then as soon as Brienne turns up he starts getting his concience back.

I watched last weeks episode again on Sunday and was convinced there was more going on with Arya. Everything about her seemed wrong. The way she was walking, walking about in broad daylight without a care in the world, no sign of Needle, even the way she talked. It just seemed like she was acting like the waif rather than herself. I was really disapointed with her scenes, it was ridiculous really. She get fooled by the waif disguised as an old bint then gets stabbed in the guts three times by her (a trained assassin), escapes and goes to the most obvious place she could where she luckil finds that the actress is a master surgeon who can repair her to the point she's Lous Smith, jumping about all over the place. It just stretched credibility well beyond breaking point. Fortunately I did think the idea of her turning out the lights and using the darkness against the waif was good. Regarding Jamie, I don't think they've done his arc as well in the show. In the books there's a clear wedge driven between him and Cersei after Tyrion tells him that she's been sleeping with Lancel and the Kettlebacks. This combined with Brienne dragging the honor out of him changes him a lot more than in the show. He's still far too stuck on Cersei in the show for my liking.

Certainly not all of them.
-
Aye his batting stats don't really do him justice but I think that's down to him batting so low. He could easily bat higher.
-
Aye I enjoyed it.

Woakes doing well this morning.

I think Borthwick definitely is playing as a Batsman who bowls a bit now. I'm sure I've noticed him taking a few wickets this season but he's not bowled as much as the other bowlers. Think he's got at least three tons in the championship this season.

There's no point moving someone up the order who's game seems to be based around his ability to just go for it. That's what mid to lower mid order is for. You could maybe up him to 5 but any higher and you're going to stifle him imo.
-
Only if you consider Paddy Considine being in it a spoiler. Actually you probably do.
-
Aye we're going to get into trouble sooner or later if we can't sort two and three out. We'll probably get away with it against Sri Lanka and Pakistan at home but once we go to India we need to be better.
-
The start was certainly confusing with it jumping forward but something about it (maybe just the use of You And Who's Army in that first episode) sucked me in much more than the first two series which I only watched last summer. As it went on I found the relationship between Tommy and Arthur ever more interesting and like I said, I really liked Paddy Considine.
-
It's ridiculous that these most basic ideas hadn't been put in place before now. You can just imagine what Rafa thought when he first walked through the door.
-
Peaky Blinders was superb this series, easily their best one for me. Paddy Considine was an excellent addition.
-
In those conditions against a fairly average attack, I think we're a fair way below par to be honest. Think we'll win but Cook and Bairstow aside, it was a pretty poor day.

Got a new bird. Jen Nings I think she's called.
