  1. It's not confirmed there's only one season left at the minute. Previously they'd talked about 8 seasons but maybe only 13 episodes across the last two. It would be a bit of a surprise if they pretty much halfed that number unless they went for longer episodes.
  2. The waif (moody lass) is listed in the cast for the next episode. I can't imagine they'll stretch out the story of her and Arya beyond that so I think we might see Arya back in Westeros in episode eight. Possibly crossing a name (Walder Frey?) off her list. Think your right about episode 9 but I don't see all out war in episode 10. More likely the white walkers just reaching the wall.
  3. I don't think he wants to be here long term anyway. He might feel like he wants to hang around and get us back up (he may also just want to wait until he's fully fit and his contract is nearly up) but I don't think he's wanting to stay longer than that. We'd end up losing him for nothing when we could have got something for him now. I also think that while he is our best keeper, his performance levels have dropped the last couple of seasons. And I don't think we would need to sign a better keeper than the others immediately if we got up.
  4. I think this could be one where an unfancied team win it. Was looking at some of the squads last night and I don't fancy France or Italy at all. Spain look light up front. Germany look comfortably the strongest (although they don't seem to have much in out and out strikers) but they haven't been doing as well recently. I think England have a chance but we're just as likely to not qualify. Could see someone like Poland doing well.
  5. I played keeper to a fairly average level and you're right he's our best keeper. But I would say that Eliott and Darlow covered for him really well in the premier league so I'd have no worries about them in the championship. I think we can aford to sell him and reinvest the money in other positions where we're more in need currently.
  6. I'm going over to France for a couple of weeks and I've got tickets for the big game, Iceland vs Austria, in Paris. And another game in Lyon between Slovakia and England.
  7. Sam was there in the books but I can't remember if he'd left for Hornhill/Oldtown by the end of A Feast For Crows. Obviously they've jumped him past there on the show so I would dount he would meet up with her there anyway. The next closest would possibly be Davos in the books but that would be at White Harbour so not particularly close.
  8. I reckon we need another striker in tbf. I have faith in Mitro and Perez at championship level at least but Armstrong is still an unknown quantity. I'd like to see an experienced player brought in I reckon we could probably do better looking for someone who might drop down rather than someone who's never made it.
  9. Looks like he scored 6 goals for them since signing. Not been the success you would have expected. I've not seem much of him but from what I hear, if he doesn't score he does nothing else which is why he's never got the big move that was predicted.
  10. I suspect she'll somehow get the better of the waif when she goes for her and then after that she'll leave. At very least there's nothing there for her, but possibly Jaquen might might send other Faceless Men after her (or go after her himself). So she has to leave Bravos. The mummers might offer one route of escape for her (which would allow us to see more of Richard E Grant and Kevin Eldon so that wouldn't be a bad thing) but I would have thought it's a little bit obvious and dangerous if the younger actress has already been in contact with the Faceless Men to kill Lady Stork.
  11. Yeah I agree mainly but I just thought it was interesting that they mentioned the BWB again for the first time in a few seasons. It's possible they could just be doing that link Arya back up with them.
  12. Saying he missed sitters in every game he played is more than a bit harsh imo. Yes he missed some decent chances but I can't think of many sitters he missed. SDJ missed a sitter against Villa. There's certainly no way we created sitters in 34 games last season. Next season I'm confident we will create a lot more good chances for him and I can't see any reason why he can't benefit from that.
  13. Apparently Carrick has signed a new 1 year deal so we can forget about him.
  14. Hernandez managed for goals in the Premier league the season before last. Cameron Jerome managed 3 last season but scored 18 in his previous season in the championship. Darrel Murphy scores loads in the championship but managed 4 in 72 in the premier league. I don't think it's that much of a stretch to suggest a 21 year old who managed 9 premier league goals in his first season, can score a lot in the championship. Edit: And of course Shola scored 43 in 294 in the premier league (often playing in a good team) and managed his only season of double figures in the championship.
  15. "Tonight, I'm gonna love someone to death"
  16. Looking at the list of top scorers in the championship last season there's not many that would excite you. I'd expect Mitro to score more than most of them with ease.
  17. He got 21 league goals last season (one more than Abel Hernandez and two less than Gray) so I assume that's near the top of charts.
  18. His head has been in Argentina for the last few years. I'll be happy to see the rest of him stay there too. At times he was up there with the best defenders I've seen at the club and it's a shame how far his stock has fallen. Last summer was the time to sever ties with him now it's a good year overdue.
  19. I suppose if we don't go straight back up we'd be able to make use of him for another season in the championship. I agree about the Armstrong point. I'd like to see what he can do and if he's getting kept out by someone who's only ever going to be here in the championship it would be a bit of a waste.
  20. So it makes no difference either way.
  21. I can't see why. If anything would it not make him think he won't get a game no matter how he plays? I was hoping he'd pick up a knock that would keep him out til late September like. That might have been our best chance of keeping him here.
  22. Can't say I'm massively surprised. I think unplayable is an exageration but he's in much better form than Sterling so I think he's more deserving of a place. I can't understand why Wilshire and Sturridge are going. They're never fit and Wilshire looks way off the pace. I don't rate Milner or Henderson but I'm not sure who else I'd take in their place.
  23. The form Sterling has been in makes him a waste of a shirt imo. I'm not getting caught up in the Townsend hype but I think he's more worthy of a shirt. But given the limited amount of time he was given in the friendlies it seems extremely unlikely he will go.
  24. I suspect Gemmil sees himself more like Wayne.
