Personally I think it's too steep for such a short term option. If he signed and we got straight up we'd have a 31 year old striker who's never done anything in the top division before leading our line. I suppose the other way to look at it is to weigh £10m against the additional income we would get from the premier league.

Although given he's unlikely to have any great knowledge of players in the championship he might be willing to take more guidence about them.

If Benjen is Coldhands it increases the posibility of Bran allowing the Others through the wall if/when he gets there. In the books (if memory serves) Coldhands can't go through the wall or into the cave with Bran and the others. And the night king couldn't go into the cave until he touched Bran in the vision. Can he now also go through the wall if Bran passed through it?

They seemed to realise the need to hang in there and they got their reward for it.

Chronicle linking us with Ross McCormack. Good player at championship level but he's 30 by the time the season starts and they're taking £10m. I'm all for adding experiance to the squad and realise we might need a bit of knowledge of this division, but spending that sort of money on a player of his age who is unlikely to be much of an asset if we do go up seems unwise.

What We Do In The Shadows is brilliant. Thought the new X Men was (like the third film in the first run) the worst one they've done. Storm in particular made no sense at all. Still much better than Captain America.

Was nice to see Sri Lanka make something aproaching a game of it on Sunday. And a great achievment for Cook yesterday.

I watched it on Friday night after the match and it was a reasonable film to stick on late on half pissed. Some of it was really cringy but there was some funny if completely forgetable bits. I turned the Dictator off after fifteen minutes so I suppose the fact that I got through this must have meant it was better. I watched The Witch last night. Not exactly the light hearted film that I really wanted at the end of a bank holiday weekend but quite interesting. Finchy was quite good in it.

I think her going after Walder Frey is nailed on. I think she might get Cersei but it's a bit early yet and I think The Hound will do for The Mountain. Dragon Tits needs ships so you would think we need the Iron Born (either Asha and Theon or Euron) to get to Mereen. Glad to see Benjen back at last. It's seemed obvious for a long time that he was going to return somehow. I assume that he is either a replacement for Coldhands or we will find out in the books that he is Coldhands.

I really think that the time will come when some club makes a legal challenge against a refereeing mistake if they don't bring in some additional video help for referee's. A prime example of this would be Aguero's goal in the draw. If the final table had ended up where a 1-0 win for us would have kept us up, that one appalling decision could have relegated us and cost the club tens of millions. This in turn could cost people their jobs. For me this could be remedied fairly easily with the use of a video referee. The game had already been stopped by the giving of a goal so there is no issue there and it wouldn't take much time anyway for someone to look at the replay and say hang on that's offside. I'm not in favour of this because of a feeling of injustice about that one incident against us, I just don't want to see a time come when legal cases are brought into football.

They really are a weird bunch. I know plenty of mackems and talking to them day to day about things other than football, they're mostly quite a normal bunch. But get them together as collective where football is concerned and they completely lose the plot. Their obsessions are just completely incomprehensible to me.

I watched the first episode of Preacher last night. I really don't know what to make of it. I know nothing about the comics, other than there's a character called arse face, so I didn't know what to expect. It just seems to have a really weird style and I can't make out if the acting is shite or it's meant to be like that. The guys Irish accent is fuckinig awful though.
