Aye but I'd be surprised if we were signing him to play primarily as a leftback given he's only played there in about 20 of his 300 games. Stranger things have happened though.

We only have one senior rightback and two leftbacks who have far from proven themselves so it doesn't necessarily mean Janmaat going. That said, I expect him to leave.

Well it's not like there's been much competition on that score but yes. I would say they only ones we've had up around and beyond that level in my time supporting are Woodgate, Albert & Roeder.

It's easy to forget after the last couple of seasons in which he's been coasting (at best), that at his best, he's one of the best defenders most of us have seen here. It's a shame that he won't be remembered for that but his heart has been anywhere but here since he handed in that transfer request. It would have been better for all concerned if he'd been able to leave a couple of years ago.

Really enjoyed France the last couple of weeks. Particularly Lyon. Glad I didn't spend the extra on going down to Nice mind.

I agree with the sentiment about loyalty but that doesn't mean I should be happy that a player leaves after we go down or that I should wish him well.

I agree with this. I'm not desperate to boo him or anything likt that but he's deserted a sinking ship. I'm not going to wish him the best for that even if I can understand his reasons. And I agree, Given's been forever tarnished to me for doing the same thing.

Aye that was what I meant. Didn't know the bit about Jaehaerys though. Can't see how that could anything other than a complete guess mind. Pretty sure there's nothing in the books that could give that away.

I think the theory is more that Rheagar and Lyanna were actually in love rather than that he had kidnapped and raped her.

Hanley looks like a big dominant centre half that we've lacked for a while. Although he's a jock so that's got to be a downside. Gomez the young kid that did well at the start of last season? Talking about a loan there? -

It appears we've signed two players that can take a freekick which is nice.
