I can't remember Sissoko ever having a good game for us on the right so I'd rather see the gutless twat in the middle rather than out there. Of course at this rate this would still see Obertan on one flank and we'll never get anywhere with that!

We're going to have to be patient these next few weeks because we're not going to pick up many points. We're going to have a bit of catching up to do. At least we'll have the tramps to keep us company! -

Terminator Genisys. I thought the idea of changing the timeline was quite interesting but they didn't manage to make the film really work. I never thought the third and forth Terminator films were bad but they just couldn't get anywhere near the first two in terms of quality (probably not that surprising when you look at the journeymen directors that made them) and this one was the same. It was ok but another missed oppertunity. -
It was totally awful and not much better than last season (although we probably would have conceeded three or four last season so there's a bit of progress) but there's no need to panic yet. There are clearly things that need addressing though. Some of them can easily be done with the current squad. Cisse has never been the type of striker who will be able to hold the ball up on his own up top. There's no way he should be playing the lone role especially away from home. But I assume his goal last week and the knock that Mitro had picked up before the last game meant that he was given another oppertunity from McClaren. I think Mitro will start next week. Away from home our middle looked a bit weak but a fit and functioning Tiote could remedy this. Judging from last week he's probably still a couple of weeks away from full fitness. Clearly our defending still isn't up to scratch but more work on the training ground can help that. That said, Colo looks shot at the minute and I'm getting more and more concerned about him. I know he missed pre season but he's looked poor a long time now. His new contract means it's unlikely he's going to be replaced any time soon though. I don't think Haidara is good enough either, a new leftback is essential for me. As is a winger, the two players we currently have playing wide are two of the most gutless wanks that it's been my misfortune to see in a Newcastle shirt. Sissoko only plays when he fancies it and Obertan is just generally hopeless. I'd definiely like to see Aarons given a go as well as bringing someone else in.

The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread
David Kelly replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
I can see Sissoko going like. And I'm not arsed about that after seeing another gutless (non)performance from him on Saturday. He has all of the physical attributes to be a monster in the middle of the part but he has a heart the size of a pea. If we could get £15m from someone for him I'd snap their hands off. -
I've not seen anything of Thauvin but I'm a little bit worried about what I've heard. He doesn't seem to have done well at Marsielle, has been listed as one of the worst players in the league, apparently has a bad attitude and I've seen likened to Cabella who's struggled badly so far. We desperately need a winger because we all know Obertan is shite (admittedly he was probably our best midfielder on Saturday) and Sissoko only plays when he fancy's it, but I'm a bit concerned that we're going for the wrong one here.

How many Newcastle games have you been to?
David Kelly replied to McFaul 's topic in Newcastle Forum
I read your post and you went for two spells regularly. One for three years and another for what, five? So as I said you didn't go for a long sustained spell. If you'd read my post properly you know I wasn't having a go at anyone for whatever there match going habits have been but if ive offended you I couldn't give the slightest fuck. Cunt! -

Aye I thought that was the case with you and I assumed the same with most of the others that are now living elsewhere or have just become sickened with the club/football in general. -

I really didn't want to take it that way. I just found it really interesting that so many people post so often on here that have never gone to the match that much. -
It was a bank holiday monday when the little twat scored against us ruining our league hopes and my night. Sorry it wasn't a more thrilling story.

Whitley on a bank holiday monday used to be a great day out. Until one Mr G Fenton ruined it forever for me the little cunt.

Which if it didn't come from you, I'd really wonder what you were doing posting on here. But as I said earlier I realise you don't really come here for the football. -
Actually thinking about it my first non local pub drink must have been Surfers down Whitley/Tynemouth (can't remember exactly where it was now) when I was sixteen. Remember being quite excited they were playing Nirvana songs in there.

I can understand that attitude but I'm just more surprised to hear that people like Gemmil or KCG's never really went to the match regularly for a long time in the first place. Obviously it's easier to understand how those who haven't went every other week for most of their lives can jack it in. One of my mates regularly has a half serious go at me for being part of the problem because I keep going to games and allowing Ashley to continue doing what he wants. But he played semi professional football until he was well into his forties so he never had the same experience as me of going to every single home game for most of my life. I can fully understand how Stevie wanted to make a stance but found it difficult to stay away. Of course making such a public show of making that stand on here is coming back to bite him in the arse now -
First time in the town must have either been 16/17 in Dobsons or possibly Yel/Bambras/Circus Circus in the bigg market. We tried to get into Central Park for months but while I nver got stopped once they always wouldn't let a couple of my mates in for looking too young or another mate for having tattoo's. I must have been in that bar 20 times before I eventually got a drink.

I'm quite surprised at how few games a lot of people on here go to or rather how few you have been to. I understand peoples lives move on with family's and work but I would have thought if you're going to spend as much time on time on here discussing the team/club then you would have been more regular match goers. I'm not having a go at anyone btw, and I realise Gem only comes on here to take the piss out of Fish, I'm just quite surprised. -
I'm enjoying Mr Robot. Need to get the last couple of episodes watched. Started watching Aquarius and it started well but seems to be falling into a case of the week detective show with Manson in the background. I'll give it a couple more episodes but can see me giving up after that. I watched the first episode of Lucifer after seeing Fish mention it on twitter. Was an interesting start but I've got a feeling it could end up being shit.

We shouldn't need all of the big boys against Northampton but he needs to make sure he balances it right. We might have some players in need of a game and/or goal by then too.

My first game was against West Brom some time towards the end of the 84/85 season. Up until that point I had little or no interest in football which I'm sure is why my dad took me. The only player of ours I'd heard of was Chris Waddle but he was injured that day (I never did get to see him play for us). I remember my dad going through our team with me in the car on the way up. He was far from keen on George Riley or Pat Herd but told me of a certain Peter Beardsley who was apparently magic. We won 1-0 thanks to a Beardsley freekick. In truth I can't rember anything else about the game (I must have been not quite 9) but the next season the last of my dads mates who he used to sit with dropped out so I got his season ticket and we've had the same seats in the East Stand ever since. I don't think I've missed 10 league home games since so I must be on about 600 games plus cup games (which I've only ever missed any in the last couple of seasons). I've never managed to get to as many away games, in later years when I've had mates who go to more of them, I've had the bairn on a weekend so it's difficult to get to them. Before that I can't really remember anyone I knew going to many. The first I went to was Liverpool in the relegation season when Mirah and John Hendrie scored in our win and I think the next one wasn't until the last game against Leciester a few seasons later when we were on the verge of division 3. I went to five or six the promotion season and a few a year for the rest of the Keegan age. Overall I've probably not went to more than 50 ranging from Peterborough, Notts County and Morcambe to Barca, Brugge and Lisbon as well as both makem grounds and Wembley. Maybe get to 1 away game a season now. For all the talk of chucking in tickets, I can't really envisage doing anything else on a matchday now. -
I do know a lot about Williamson and I know he's absolute dog shit. So in the absence of any likely big name/fee transfer in that area I'd be happy to take a punt on a player who I don't know a great deal about other than he's about 23, he's well regarded by his own fans (albeit in a lower league) and (I think) he was considered a very promising player a couple of year back. Is that more acceptable? I mean ultimiately very few (or none more likely) of us knew anything about Mbember before he was linked either. Edit: I also know he's a big fucker too.
