12 days to get a left back and striker in
David Kelly replied to Holden McGroin's topic in Newcastle Forum
Just one more body that we won't get in! -
Nearly right except the parents in this case are either evil or just plain insane!
-
At least selling cole gave us money to spend. This does nothing but weaken us, there is no positive slant anyone can put on it. And I doubt any of those cockney cunts will be standing on the steps outside the stadium to justify it to us!
-
Aye, good point, statement of intent and all that. Imagine the spiel they'll be feeding him, exactly what he was been complaining is missing here. They only need to read a few of his tweets to know what to say. They'll be able to feed him the same story we used to sell players in Keegans first time as manager (ie a club on the up, new owers, ambition). Exactly the kind of things we can't sell to anyone any more. We are a depressing fucking mess of a club now
-
You seem to be under the impression that we have some sort of plan. I think we do. It's got nowt to do with football mind
-
Shola looked canny as youngster too!
-
He doesn't seem to fit with what we need (a pacy goalscorer) or what or what our policy is supposed to be (young and cheap). So from that point of view we'll probably sign him!
-
Better than our apparent other options of Carlton Cole and Marvin Emnes (according to the Chronicle)
-
Lunacy but not at all surprising unfortunately.

4.99 from St James 8.43 from SOS (although I can see it every day from work )

I don't think you can be anything other than very happy with the two results so far but the performances haven't been brilliant. The first half against Arsenal was woeful in particular and we were humping far too many long balls on Saturday bypassing a midfield that is supposed to be dominating and allowing us to control games. The clean sheets are a massive positive especially as they have come from not allowing teams to create anything of any significance. I think the signing of a leftback who can move forward with the ball will make a massive difference to how we look going forward and with a quality striker in to get on the end of stuff I think will be ok.

Did we have a better playing staff at the start of the season?
David Kelly replied to Happy Face's topic in Newcastle Forum
I voted yes because overall I think we do have a better squad. Not having a single leftback does make it very tight though. -
Could have sworn he'd gone out again a few weeks ago but can see owt on the web. He looked like he had a good chance to make it a couple of years ago. I remember he was the best player on the park away to Doncaster. It's a shame if he's fell so far back.
-
Didn't he go on loan somewhere in Holland? I would like to see Marveaux, Gosling and Ba all play and perhaps the likes of Vukic and Abeid on the bench.
-
Played for them tonight like
-
Be nice Alex, after all he is a Geordie, misplaced perhaps, misguided maybe, mental possiblyy, but nevertheless a Geordie so we should be nice to the losers. Nah he was a cunt before he became their manager now he's just more of one.
-
I thought Caybaye was much better today and Barton and Tiote both got stuck in well but we played the long ball too often and bypassed them. A left back who can attack would help solve that problem but Raylor is understandably sitting back and concentrating on defence.
-
Two cowerdly cunts on the pitch today. Webb and Cattermole. Cattermole should have been the second of three blatant red cards with his soft shite prentending to be hard anticts. But who gives a fuck because we beat the unwashed cunts one nil. You wash once a week in the wear you wash once a week in the wear you wash once a week in the wear Sunderlands a massive club Are you fuck!
-
I'm hoping Barton is fully prepared after last week and he stays calm and ends up winding up Cattermole (who is even easier to wind up than Joey). We are in a mess but they just aren't much cop. They've wasted a lot of money again for me. With what they've spent they should be streets ahead of us by now but I just don't see it. Their strike force is better obviously but with the exception of left back, the defences are pretty even. It's the midfield where we have to win it so we need big games from Tiote Barton and Caybaye if we're getting anything out of this.
-
tavernier went out on loan didnt he? That wouldnt stop Ashley from using it as an excuse.
-
Lets face it, if he were to go we could definitely replace him with better. He's done ok ish but he's no great shakes by any stretch. The fact is though none of us have any confidence that we will. It will be another loan at best or it will be Raylor or Pearch. Much like the striker situation, from Ashley's point of view, we have those two, Tavernier and Gosling (who can apparently play there). Too many players to require a replacement!
-
I'm getting the fact that they put nine past us once thrown at me at work now. Fucking he'll when was that the fucking 30's? They convieniently forget that we pisses on them at there place and won the league that season. Given their obsession with us you'd think they'd know that!

Don't know why people bother listening to Pardew at all. He's either working totally on guesswork, working on complete bullshit from above or just a lying cunt. Anyway you look at it he's not worth paying attention to. -

David Kelly replied to Holden McGroin's topic in Newcastle Forum
I voted no because I don't think we'll get both. I think they will realise that we don't have a single senior left back and that will force them to buy. But looking at it from Ashley's point of view, we have Ba, Shola, Best, LovenKrands, Ben Arfa, Ranger and Vukic so there's absolutely no need for another striker.
