I think if we go down the biggest repercussion will be that we will play championship football next season.

Nosferatu The Vampire 5/10. Not getting the Herzog love at all after this and Fitzcarraldo. Far too plodding for a Dracula film but at least the Kinski and Hitler were good in it. TBF there were some good scenes but just too intermitant. Killer Of Sheep 6/10. Don't really go for films with no narrative and films about the drudgery of everyday life are always going to stuggle to be thrilling but this was pretty well done considering it was made by amateurs. -
Haven't listened to that in years. Lightening Crashes is a hell of a song though. The Cure - Galore

Am I being wooshed here or are you lot being serious? I didn't read any of the article but pictures show blokes clearly out on the piss engaging in what could as easily (and tbh probably) be piss taking and everyone immediately believes its evidence of homosexuality? Fucking hell I've seen that type of shit in the town virtually every time I've been out. -
Ok lads, Danny doesn't fancy it so I think it's the place for the rest of is to head!

Can't cross, run fast or pass either. His crossing isn't good (although I still say it would be better if he was playing on the right) but he is faster than pretty much all of the rest of our squad and his passing better than the vast majority of them to. From what I say (ie the second half) he didn't have a good game at all today but that doesn't change the fact that he's the only competition to Bassong as our best player this season (admittedly there is no competition left in the squad). The voice of reason there, as usual. Basically, he'd be in your starting XI Well lets face it there's no competition. I admit he's disapointed somewhat after a really exciting start but given the circumstances I think he (and to a much larger extent Bassong) deserves a lot credit for coming into this mess and managing to produce anything at all!

Beyond The Wizards Sleave - Reanimations. Really cool mixes of some pretty decent songs.

He can't shoot like. Should have had him on the right today with them having Kilbane at fullback there to be got at.

All of the results have gone our way. Shame we didn't have anyone who could hit the target or it could have been a massive day for us. Really need something angainst Arsenal or Chelski (both of whom are hitting form just at the wrong time for us).

Was a good finish like. Their goal was better though!

Only wish I could see it

So did Watchmen get a worldwide release last Friday

Your not the only person who's said that I'm certainly not having a go, but I really can't understand what's so difficult to understand. Former superhero is murdered, former colleagues investigate against a backdrop of the world on the verge on nuclear war (I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I won't say any more). Actually it puts me sort of in mind of LA Confidential for some reason. I don't think it's that complicated. No No, don't get me wrong, I understand the film, but it has so many levels I just don't think I could explain it properly or do it justice if someone said to me so whats it like should I go and see it? It's just one of those kind of films that you do have to actually watch to understand fully. Sorry fair enough. It's just I keep reading about how it's difficult to understand if you haven't read the book but I just don't see that. There is quite a bit going on I'll certainly admit that and I dare say it will benefit from multiple viewings. -

The movie isn't the book in it's entirety, and The Watchmen isn't the best comic book ever. It's just one of the few comics to have migrated into the mainstream and maintain any semblance of serious tone. Just got back from watching it tonight. Probably pay to see it at the IMAX because the view I had wasn't great and the people behind were there to kill time rather than any desire to watch the film by the sounds of things. I came away a little disappointed, but more because I had such high hopes for it, they were unlikely to have ever been met. All in all I enjoyed the film, at least 4 out of 5 stars imo. Yeah I knew it wasn't the whole book but still it felt like it couldn't have come from that great a book. I am however fully aware that my argument is here is totally idiotic as I've never read it. I'm not really up on comics though so I wouldn't know which are the really top ones and I'm going off what I've read about it since that film has been in production. I think agree with your assement of it as 4 star film though. -

What ? What country you from? Quality film, never seen it on the big screen until tonight! Awesome. Saw it twice at the pictures when it was originally out and along with Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back, it remains the best film I've ever seen on the big screen. Watchmen - 8/10 (Not sure if I'm being a bit generous there) Not the massive leap in superhero films I was hoping for but certainly a cut above the majority out there and a thoroughly enjoyable film. Why the big blue cock half the time though? -

what i wrote on another forum: misanthropic, corny, trite, bafflingly boring - i couldn't quite believe and I can't really describe how bad it was. even the structure of the film was horrendous. the music was ridiculously misplaced and cheesy. the acting was terrible and multiple hand sex the only positive thing I can say is that choreography and the special effects are good. but they should be with a 120 million dollar budget. and I thought 300 was appalling... I've only seen the opening scene where the comedian gets murdered but I thought the use of Unforgetable playing during it was superb. wait till you get to possibly the worst sex scene of all time (complete with jet flame orgasm symbolism) with Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah in the background Any sex scene where the girl leaves her thigh-high boots on by definition CANNOT be the worst sex scene of all time. After watching it last night I agree with both Sloop on the woefull use of Cohen and CID on the boots. I also think that the jet flame was actually a perfectly judged comic book (which let's not forget is what this film is based on) moment. Maybe I'm wrong but I took it being there for comedic effect rather having any serious intent behind it. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the film. In a lot of ways it gave me exactly what I've always wanted a comic film to give me, a story that isn't just your average how I got my powers fair and actually has a dark story behind it. I don't know why people are struggling to understand it having not read the book because I had no problems at all. I loved Rorshach (I suspect my spelling is way off there) and The Comedian who are both the kind of deeper comic characters that usually never make it to the screen. That said I thought the ending was a bit weak and I can't really believe that The Watchmen is the best comic ever because from what I'm seeing in the film isn't a story that's quite strong enough. -
Would probably go along with Bassong although Jonas is the only one who gets me out of my seat these days.

Seem to remember a couple of years back Spurs fans were saying he was better than Fabregas (and the rest of the world mocking them). Always looked like being on the brink of being a good player to me but never quite achieving it. Needless to say that puts him quite a way ahead of most of our team these days.

Hopefully going to watch Watchmen tonight. Haven't read the GN so all I know about it is what I've read in Empire but I have read to odd comic (Zero Hour and the one where Superman dies) and it sounds like the type of film I've always wanted from a Superhero movie (ie not just a boring origin story but something more like the actual comics/novels) so I'm looking forward to it. Eagle Eye 6/10 Like a cross between I Robot and Enemy Of The State (which is a much better film). It's ok with two reasonably engaging leads but not nothing more than that. -
