He's slower than Campbell is now IMO (injuries?), I mean it sometimes can work out (like with Pearce), but you've got to be really on top of your other aspects not to get caught out if your pace has completely gone. He might be a good squad player to have, but I dunno about 1st team starter. Oh i agree and in our current situation we cant say no to a proven class defender who would be a good squad player for sure. Doesnt have to play in all the games nor be first choice but it is good to have decent backup. We just cant right players off at the moment for being too slow or too old. Would be great alongside Taylor in my opinion. I guess we shall just wait and see who Big Sam signs. Im more eager for this current season to start then ever. I come on every morning before going to work to see if we have signed anyone over night etc. For some reason i am more primed for the up coming season and wish it would start soonish! I completely agree with your points about Hyypia. I would add that you just have to look at Milan's defence for past decade or more and see how they have regularly had players the wrong side of 30 (Maldini, Costacurta, Cafu, Baresi) and they have had some of the best defences in the world.

A what? It's a type of tuna iirc. Ah I see, sounds less impressive when you say tuna though! Pacific used to do lovely tuna melts and their cheese tosties (in some sort of fantastic spanish bread if I remember correctly) were gorgeous.

My previously mentioned cheese, cucumber and mushroom baguette is the limit of my culinary skills. The missus is an excellent cook fortunately and she does me a fantastic salmon with lemon, tarragon and dill sauce and pasta.

If you want a burger then get a jalepeno one from M&S and load it with cheese, mushrooms (chestnut are fine for this ) onions and their basil mayo. Best burger I have had by miles.

Subway should only be considered if you are too pissed to find a pizza place.

The brioche is an error for any sandwich for my money. Far too sweet. Tbf your sanwich looks pretty good but the choice of mushrooms is clearly flawed. Wrong! The chestnut is a meaty mushroom which just bulked things up nicely. It's a womans choice for fucks sake man. A mans choice would have clearly been a portabello! The Portobello is a pleb's mushroom. I wouldn't even have them in my house. That's because your clearly a fanny, the portabello is a mans mushroom. Agree with Gemmill for once, the portabello is strictly for Big Issue vendors. Ironically it's the flatcap mushroom that dresses the top tables. ARS. Bollocks, it's the king of the mushroom world. I might add that I'm fucking starving now and would kill for any of these sandwiches.

Sounds class.

...are we drizzling herb oil on this? Aye, I think so. Tbh wor lass does the cooking. And yes Gem, mozzarella probably works better than brie but I love brie at anytime tbh. Clearly the shear genius of the cheese, mushroom and cucumber baguette is beyond you lot

Grilled Chorizo, peppers, mushroom, onion and cheese (Brie works well) in ciabatta is pretty fantastic. A favourite of mine for work is gratted cheese (cheddar or red leicester), sliced mushrooms (raw) and sliced cucumber in french stick.

Can't beat a waffle and crispy cheese pancake inside half a stottie tbh. Although I had a aribiatta pasta sandwich from Blakes once it was fantastic.

I wonder if this means he's confident over the futures of Owen and Martins?

Happy Birthday mate.

Well tbh Moore did a job when he was fit, I was hoping for something more than that.

Signed a new contract as well I see. Good news.

Has anyone actually seen this guy play?

The Killing Of A Chinese Bookie - Good story and Ben Gazarra is brilliant but I thought it was poorly paced and they could have cut at least half an hour out of it. -

Interesting to note what it says about Sam asking Emre about Tuncay. I know there are quite a few people on the boards who rate him. -

Officially signed now according to the clubs website. Two year deal with an option for a third year. Nowt on Barton yet though. -
And on the Dyer Milner thing, I think Milner was one of our best players last season but that comes more from the rest of the team being shite than him being exceptional. As a player he has never performed anywhere near the standard that Dyer was producing under Robson when he really was a top player and tbh I don't see anything in him to suggest he will ever reach that level. That said Dyer was after Chirstmas last season and has a lot of work to do to prove he can get back to an acceptable level let alone the level he was at when he was at his best.

We've paid less for Barton, he can play better in the attacking role that Parker was played in most last season (whether that was his choice or the managers I'm not sure), Parker hasn't really seemed to fully get over the illness he had. That is against Parker not being a twat off the pitch. Personally I think the pro's in our favour out weigh the cons but I do still rate Parker.
