  1. I can see where you're coming from but not in Roeder's eyes. Luque wasn't even on the bench on Wednesday and Lua Lua (who's 16) was. I just reckon Carr at RB, Nobby RW and Milner on the left would be better than having Pattison in. That's not a kneejerk reaction to Wednesday either, Pattison's looked dreadful in all the games I've seen him play in recently. I agree about Pattison but tbf to the lad he's not a winger and from what I can see he's not even a particularly attacking player who you can use on the wing (someone like Dyer) so I never understood playing him there in the first place. Seriously though, I'd rather play Butt in defence to allow Nobby to move forward than let Carr anywhere near the team.
  2. Luque is more worthy of a place than Carr, as is O'Brien, Clarke & Terry Mac!
  3. Have you ever seen him play? He should never be anywhere near the squad even now tbh. Nobby is a far better right back and I'd play every single one of those kids in any other position ahead of him. I've just realised that Carr is my new Andy O'Brien!
  4. Tbf there are a fair few like that at evert game. The crowd is shite these days and never offer any encouragement to the players. I realise that sometimes the crowd need the players to lift them but the reverse is true also. All the crowd do these days is moan and groan when anyone makes the slightest mistake.
  5. It's transpired the bit in bold was meant to read "Carr actually had a fucking awfull start to the season costing us goal after goal with his pefeformances gradually getting worse until he was mercifully injured last year".
  6. Is that the one about some bloke called Tom who does womens hair?
  7. Pricilla Queen Of The Desert on film 4 last night. It's quite cann with yet another good performance from Guy Pearce. Terence Stamp didn't look like he was enjoying himself at all with the dance routines though.
  8. Yeah but I don't think it's due til late on. But with new ones from Modest Mouse, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, Art Brut and possibly even Portishead if they get their arses into gear, this could be a very good year.
  9. He's a fat bastard. I'm led to believe he's lost a lot of weight. What makes him a bastard? Maybe he's illegitimate? For me it's just his manner, he comes across as a condescending twat. His columns in The Times when he was a food critic were unbearable. But I didn't see the interview DK was referring to. Btw DK, etf were you watching Littlejohn for? It was a clip shown on something else (I'd generally rather watch last nights match again than watch anything with him in). Littlejohn basically brought him on to take the piss out of some lesbian bird that he had on but Winner sussed him out completely and stood up for the lass much to Littlenob's annoyance and embarassment
  10. I always thought Winner was a twat until I saw the clip of when he was on that Richard Littlejohn (now he is definitely a twat) show. He really changed my view of him on that.
  11. Any good? Liked the first (?) one. I've only listened to it once (and that wasn't all in one go). So far it's not hitting me as much as their debut but I'll give it more of a chance before making a judgement.
  12. The new Clap Your Hands Say Yeah album.
  13. Aye I like it a lot. The new Air album is also good. The Bloc Party one is poor though.
  14. But I suspect Carr will be back in the team if he's fit!
  15. Thw whole back four were awfull and no one in front was much better. Solano had a game as bad as Carr. Personlly I think we would be better off to keep the same defence on Saturday and give them the chance to get it out of their system. What we need is Emre back at least because it's no good playing Pattison on the wing because it contributed greatly to us not being able to create a single chance the whole game.
  16. Never been impressed with him tbh. Nobby is looking like a better rightback than him and we need to be looking for a propper left back not someone else who we can play out of position there. Would be a decent addition to the squad perhaps but we starting 11 places we need to fill before then.
  17. There's a special edition coming out of Blade Runner in a month or two so I'm holding out for that. I've ordered The Haunting, Out Of The Past, The Day The Earth Stood Still and Frankenstein/Bride Of Frankenstein off Amazon today.
  18. I know where you can park free in the city centre but there's only about 7 spaces and I don't want anyone to get there before me so I'm not telling. I agree with Cath though about Azzuri and La Toscana just outside the ground is canny too.
  19. Natural Born Killers. I didn't really like this at first because I though Stone had botched Tarrantino's screenplay. But now I realize he just changed the emphasis to make it more of a satire, something akin to a 90's Dr Strangelove. Aside from sometimes hamming home the message a bit too much (like having Too Much TV lit up accross Mickey's chest), Stone does a great job. The acting is also very good with Tommy Lee Jones, Tom Sizemore & Robert Dowey Jr all excellent with their over acting.
  20. I've looked at the games from the next season (my first full one) and I can't remember a single one.
  21. 06.04.85 West Bromwich h 1-0 0-0 22,694 34 10 11 13 48 62 41 Thomas; Brown, Anderson; McCreery, Clarke, Roeder; Megson(McDonald), Cunningham, Reilly, Beardsley, Heard G: Beardsley First game my dad took me to when the last of his group of mates who used to all go together dropped out and from the start of the next season I've had the seat ever since. My dad had to tell me who our team were on the way to the game because I wasn't really interested in football before then and I didn't have a clue who any of them were. The only player we had that I knew was Waddle and the makem twat was injured so I never ended up seeing him play for us. All I remember of the game was Pedro's goal. A superbly struck freekick that he and Pat Heard had been stood over. I think it's fair to say that day changed my life.
