  1. I've got their album and I have to I can't make my mind up about it at the moment.
  2. Jens Lekman never did it for me when I first listened to it but I've listened to odd songs again recently and I am liking them a lot, I will have to give it another go. Off the top of my head, my favourite scandanavian bands currently are; I'm From Barcelona Sarena-Maneesh Love Is All The Figurines (Are the Envelopes from there as well?)
  3. Which can only be good news if their last two albums are anything to go by!
  4. Does any one know what is the cheapest sky package you can have and not have to pay the £10 a month for sky plus?
  5. Yeah they're very good, there's a lot of excellent music comming out of Scandanavia at the moment.
  6. I must watch it again. I've seen it once and quite enjoyed it (all of the acting is brilliant) but I think it's one that well imrpove with more viewings. Agree about the music too.
  7. I liked it but I made the mistake of watching it in bits instead of one go. I need to see it again.
  8. They got a good review from Stylus yesterday so I'm in the process of trying to aquire their album.
  9. Aye I noticed the Hunger is on there about three times before the end of the month. I've never managed to watch more than about five minutes of it myself.
  10. Ya nar what it is? I spend bloody hours searching the world in an apparantly fruitless task looking an unreleased dvd made in the same year as bloody world war 2! my incredible detective work eventually leads me to the arse end of the planet where i find a copy of this much loved film. And they moan aboot the fecking price! thats gratitude for ya! Whey if it's going to be on free telly I'll save myself a tenner. Your link might come in handy if I miss it though. Many thanks. Dunno why i bother tbh. http://tcmonline.co.uk/listings/movie_deta...?movieId=114987 Muchos Gracias. Not sure if I've got TCM. And I'll be at work Maybe this could be the time to learn how the timer works on the DVD recorder. You call yourself a film fan and you don't know if you have TCM. You get some classic (albeit often repeated) films on there for free. Adverts on most of them though (but not too often).
  11. Rebecca's good but it's quite different from a lot of Hitchcock films and doesn't have the same sort of energy that other ones have. It's a bit overrated for me.
  12. "leaving behind a suicide note that attributed his action to boredom" Christ, I've never been THAT bored. Have a game of scrabble or something. I dunno, I feel that way going to most home games these days!
  13. Just read on the IMD that George Sanders killed himself in the 70's!
  14. I always get that wrong. It's definitely on TCM either this month or next (I was checking the schedule the other day) if you have sky. It's an excellent film too.
  15. Pedant! I'll rephrase then. Anyone (well some people anyway) who liked the more electronic offerings for Radioheads later albums will enoy it.
  16. You'll be alright with Provident. I did some collecting for them a couple of times and they'll loan money to anyone and you only have to pay back a couple quid a week. Mind you, they take your eyes out with the interest for the privelage!
  17. Any who likes Radioheads' later albums should like the Thom Yorke one.
  18. Waste of money tbh. I bought two new ones (not at the same time). One was good and I never had any problems with it but the other (a Punto) was a right pile of shite and never worked properly from the day I got it. That put me off especially since you can buy older better cars for less and then lose less money on them.
  19. Awesome. Agreed but I think the Hold Steady & Yo La Tengo albums just edge them.
  20. Some great albums that have came out recently that I would recomend. TV On The Radio - Return To Cookie Mountain The Hold Steady - Boys & Girls In America Yo La Tengo - I'm Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass I'm From Barcelona - Let Me Introduce My Friends Califone - Roots & Crowns The Decemberists - The Crane Wife Sean Lennon - Friendly Fire Bonnie Prince Billy - The Letting Go Sparklehorse - Dreamt For Lightyears In The Belly Of A Mountain
  21. I think it's supposed to be canny but I've not heard it. Saw one of their vid's on 120 minutes a while back and it was canny like.
  22. George Sanders is the greatest underrated actor ever. I would suggest that you watch The Portrait Of Dorien Gray when it's next on TCM (should be on in the next couple of weeks). He plays a similar character to the on in all about eve but even more so. He's very good in Rebecca too. I agree All About Eve is better than Sunset Boulevard too.
