Milner has played on the left more than he has played on the right, FACT. He started that position for Leeds and off the frontman also. He plays there alot for England U21s. I can see why Sam plays him htere because he's very two footed and can get the ball in the danger area one way or another. Would like to see him play on the right with Zog on the left of course. But Enrique obviously isn't ready for the prem yet, hopefully in the 2nd half of the season he will get more games and more confidence and Duff and Zog, Milner and hopefully someone like Arshavin will be competing for the right hand slot or the other way round. Zog looks a fairly decent left back, would have him there over Baba any day of the week as he is so useful going forwards and has pace that can help out a back four that isn't blessed with it. As long as we get a few more results when we aren't playing that well our confidence will grow and we will slowly climb the table =)

The performance against Blackburn (given the circumstances of the back-four) and the performance against the unbeaten league leaders wednesday night show that the players are right behind the big man. This nonsense must stop and we need to give him at the very least until the end of the season (2 years+ would be even more sensible). Look at Martin O'Neil at Villa last year, he had an awful run didnt he mid-season? Now they look like a proper team and if we keep playing like we did against the Arsenal then we may become a team under BSA after all =)

Just saw the game on football first. Fantastic game for hte neutral to be honest and we played our hearts out. Thought Martins was outstanding as the wide forward in a 4-3-3, constantly a threat and his delivery brought others into play on more htan one occasion. The back four was a joke at times but then again 2 players from the french league at CB having playing a handful of EPL games and our full-backs are midfielders =/ If Sam gets the sack after wednesday I will be more than disappointed, needs at least 2 years, even if this means finishing mid table this year after not spending a great deal compared to most of the top half. If he can inspire some more performances like this then slowly things will turn themselves around. Was the kind of game that if we had taken our share of the chances then we probably would have won it 4-3!

I dont see how people rate Houllier or would want him here? In recent times he signed some proper dodgy players for Liverpool and never did all that much in the champs league and he inherited an already glorious Lyon team. Has a dodgy ticker also, if he signed for us, chances are it wouldn't last long.
