If we're playing 4-3-3, I'd like to see a midfield trio of Emre, Faye, Geremi. Would offer far more balance and vision than Smith, Butt, Geremi. With Zog up top with Martins and Viduka. Also, Geremi's ball to Martins was undeniably quality, and I think he has played alright these past couple of games and Sam has been wrong to bring him off instead of Smith or Butt IMO. Geremi on the right of a 4-3-3 linking with Beye and Martins with Emre/Milner, Zog and Enrique doing the same down the left would bring far more creativity and natural balance to the side for me.

Cack, he's done it again playing Smith out wide, let's hope it works =/ I can't wait for the day when we get jose starting and n'zogbia wide left with Milns wide right. I know many people feel this way and hopefully it's only a matter of time =) Let's hope Zog has another stormer today and Oba can hit the target!

Without Big Sam United could well have folded. I dread to think what another season of Roeder would have done to us. We'd probably be without the Zog, and still have much of the shite Sam carted off. We'd have probably spent 13 mill on Crouch, and brought in Anton Ferdinand for 6 leaving us nothing left but a few kids to pitch in at full-back =/ The kind of stuff nightmares are made of. Our only hope would have been Shola's impressive goal record for Roeder haha Reality thankfully is our most competitive squad since SBRs prime (but with more solidarity and team spirit) and debts that are slowly being taken care of by our other big man and Smithers...er I mean Mort.

I thought it was N'Zogbia's best fucking appearance. He did some good things defensively for me as well which surprised me as I've always thought of him as a bit of a light-weight whinger. 2 assists and a goal also can't be argued with.

Harsh on Owen, he doesn't really look like he tries when he plays for England, it's just his game to look disinterested for ages then pop up with a clever run, assist or goal. He definately needs to have an op if the doctors recommend it, not after the england games, NOW. England got Rooney back and a choice of Ashton, Bent, Johnson, Defoe to choose from so this should not be an issue now, he's our player, and we need to get him sorted as soon as as we can't afford to be without him when MArtins goes to African Nations for a few games, we want CL spot now that Jose's buggered off!

It's disgusting how Brown made a fuss about MOurinho leaving but failed to properly acknowledge a true sporting hero in Colin McRae. How a tragic event like that to a national hero to Brown's home country is simply neglected shows his true character.

HOw the HECK was MIl;ner a negative? I thought he won a few challenges, helped out at the back, and always provided width and is so tricky for any full back to deal with because he's comfortable crossing with both feet as he showed a few times today. I thought that the Midfield did very well in the second half, best midfield performance I have seen from us this year which still has a lot of room for improvement. Positives for me were best performances in a toon shirt from Viduka, Smith, Geremi, N'Zogbia and a fantastic debut from Beye =) Looks really strong in the challenge and I didn't expect him to be as potent going forwards. Viduka really shone for me, considering how disappointed I was with his overall play against Boro and Villa I thought he was terrific today. Won much more in the air, played a bit deeper at times getting involved in our build up play, took his first goal magnificently and was in the right place at the right time for his second. Zog was fantastic, thought he was very solid defensively, even winning headers, and just showed how much better off we will be when he is playing at LM with Jose at left back as it gives us genuine pace, trickery, and most importantly goals from the wing =). Agree with you as I suspect many will about MArtins. He has to start our next league game, get Owen 100% physically fit, even if he has to have an op, we don't want to be dealing with that when Martins is carted off to the African Nations. England can fuck off, they have more than enough cover now with Ashton looking on form, Defoe, Johnson, Bent. Owen's done his bit for England scoring 3 very important goals, we need him fit and healthy which he clearly isn't at the moment.

what puzzles me is why he doesnt play Geremi at right midfield and smith in the centre if he MUST have smith in the team. Geremi is very effective at right mid also, he can cross a ball, get up and down really easily, take his throws, and help out the right back. Not to mention he's played the position for REal Madrid more than enough times, in the champs league also.
