Bruno was lucky to stay on the pitch when he stomped on Rodri’s foot tbf. But not giving the blatant foul on Gordon was equally shocking and directly led to their first goal as they got possession.

I can’t really comment as I didn’t watch most of the second half but people moaning about us sitting too deep in the second half might also have a look how Man City reacted to getting hit on the counter numerous times in the first half. From the few minutes I did watch it was more difficult as City were more aware. I guess it became even more difficult when we were getting more and more tired.

Villa have Chelsea in the cup, which hopefully will be tough for them as well. actually do fancy us getting something out of the game against Villa. They are obviously doing very well and still full of confidence. They probably do want to punish us for getting twatted at the start of the season. But I think we will be in a much better state in two weeks time unless more players suffer injuries. We will probably be up for this game being underdogs too. In contrast to other games there won’t be the burden of being favourites.

I am pretty sure the club is exploring all possibilities. But I found Howe’s remark about us not having a lot of friends in the market quite telling. I think that just quite a few clubs are actually relishing our difficulties. They won’t do us any favours unless we pay ridiculous prices. When I see the reaction of some of our fans I really think a lot of them are just spoiled tossers who thought us getting taken over would be like playing football manager in sugar daddy mode. I actually didn’t watch most of the second half expecting this and having to look after my health. I thought that our only chance to get something out of the game needed us to two goals clear. It wasn’t meant to be unfortunately.
