1. Looooong ball out of defence by Carr. That would make Bramble proud. Unfortunately the ball is far too looooong for Shearer who needs a rest at the half way line.
2. La Coruna attacking via the right wing where an donkeylike Elliott is trying to immitate Babayaro with some useless defending. That's how to impress the manager.
3. Well as there isn't anybody doing updates and Newcastle World is still not working I'll probably have to create my own match report.
4. Samantha Fox. Oh how depressed I was when she came out...
5. Reebok Then and Now Reebok's United Kingdom-based ancestor company was founded for one of the best reasons possible: athletes wanted to run faster. So, in the 1890s, Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making shoes by hand for top runners; and before long his fledgling company, J.W. Foster and Sons, developed an international clientele of distinguished athletes. The family-owned business proudly made the running shoes worn in the 1924 Summer Games by the athletes celebrated in the film Chariots of Fire. In 1958, two of the founder's grandsons started a companion company that came to be known as Reebok, named after an African gazelle. In 1979, Paul Fireman, a partner in an outdoor sporting goods distributorship, spotted Reebok shoes at an international trade show. He negotiated for the North American distribution license and introduced three running shoes in the U.S. that year. At $60, they were the most expensive running shoes on the market. By 1981, Reebok's sales exceeded $1.5 million, but a dramatic move was planned for the next year. In 1982, Reebok introduced the first athletic shoe designed especially for women; a shoe for a hot new fitness exercise called aerobic dance. The shoe was called the Freestyle™, and with it Reebok anticipated and encouraged three major trends that transformed the athletic footwear industry: the aerobic exercise movement, the influx of women into sports and exercise and the acceptance of well-designed athletic footwear by adults for street and casual wear. Explosive growth followed, which Reebok fueled with product extensions - new categories in which it also became a leader. The Freestyle™ is now a "Classic" and is Reebok's best selling athletic shoe of all time. Reebok's performance aerobic shoes have progressed through several generations. In the midst of surging sales in 1985, Reebok completed its initial public offering (stock symbol is NYSE: RBK). In the late 1980s, Reebok began an aggressive expansion into overseas markets. Its products are now available in more than 170 countries and are sold through a network of independent and Reebok-owned distributors. Reebok is distributed in the following countries in Europe : - Germany since 1987 - Finland since 1986 - Poland since 1991 - United Kingdom since 1982 - France since 1984 - Portugal since 1987 - Austria since 1988 - Greece since 1987 - Sweden since 1986 - Belgium and Luxembourg since 1987 - Ireland since 1982 - Switzerland/Liechtenstein since 1986 - Cyprus since 1987 - Italy since 1986 - Turkey since 1988 - Denmark since 1984 - Norway since 1986 - Spain since 1987 - The Netherlands since 1987
6. I'll have a look later. But by the way. Is there still a website with all of Pedro's videos? When my notebook crashed a couple of weeks ago, those video files were among the data that I didn't back up...
7. The problem is even if Anal O. is exaggerating, the thought of LLP (lame left peg) picking up 25-40,000 quid a week makes me wanting to send Souness an annual ticket for London Undergroud...
8. Picked from Comical Oli's drivel... "Meanwhile, Souness looks as though he could have a problem elsewhere as his £50,000-a-week left-back Celestine Babayaro is back on the treatment table again."
9. From today'S journal: "I have asked a lot of people about Craig Moore - what he is good at, what he is bad at - and I am delighted to have managed to sign him. I feel that we have our fair share of proper, senior players at this club now. I think he brings the experience we lacked at times last season." So that is: good - experience in drinking, picking up needless bookings, making proper fouls bad - football
10. Are you suggestion something like one of those state funded programs for 'special' individuals? 6870 Nah, they just make them work in in the park etc., I am not sure if that would be helpful to Medina...
11. I do like reading Tim Rich who used to write for the Independent and now is with the Telegraph.
12. Herzlichen Glückwunsch from your guru... and here is my prezzie...

14. I think in the old days there was never the need for a director of football. The manager was the director himself and not another person needed. But I think this has changed. Just take into consideration the quotes from SBR's biography about transfers and contracts that were published a couple of days ago. When Bobby was first managing in England he was in control of everything. He was doing the transfer dealing, hackling out the contracts etc., nowadays the manager becomes more of what is the head coach like in continental Europe. That might open the door for the introduction of directors of football, where you ideally have a person that has a bit knowledge in football and isn't just a former second hand car dealer who accidentely took over a football club.
15. The Hoff says Happy Birthday!
16. The Dictatorship of Poo-loonia "Invade et Impera!" http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index....tion=poo-loonia The Dictatorship of Poo-loonia is a tiny, safe nation, renowned for its strong anti-business politics. Its cynical population of 5 million are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet. It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 47%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Information Technology. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Poo-loonia's national animal is the isegrim, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the grim.
17. 6028 OK you're next. Sorry been busy today will get round to it tonight. You like the series then? 6030 Well, it's just that with the Medina threat I can see another GOLD thread in the pipeline...
18. have i missed summit? 6007 Well, a couple of years when the original toontastic went tits up I was Bridget for a couple of days and could have read all her PMs...
19. I think it gets funnier and funnier... - we replace Bellamy with a sulking French striker who fell out with his former employer after wanting to move and allegedly faked injury. - we replace an obese striker from Holland with a pot whale from Australia - we replace an honest pro in Hughes with an Australian Alcoholic - we replace an French left back who isn't commited until he gets a big new contract, with an lazy Nigerian who gets a big contract, but isn't committed
20. Don't know haven't tasted either, but it is said that dogs are much more delicious.
21. Pah, it's easy anyway. He just has to mess up the database so that members can read other people's PMs...
22. Black and white vertical stripes are very slimming though, so nee probs about him being such a fat jabber! 5930 © Patrick Kluivert
