  1. Merry Christmas you bunch of gloomy bastards Sorry, just been reading a few other threads and decided that oh so many on here need to cheer the fuck up. (also realising as I age, how I start to spare thoughts to those in Iraq etc, or the homeless, or yes those missing people in general. Go on, spare them a thought for one second before you pop that bottle of wine and stab that turkey. Tell ya, age and having a bairn do funny things to you.... ) Merry Christmas
  2. But how do you pronounce it? I call him "baye" but Ive heard some call him "Beyee".
  3. Prob the best signing of Sam's so far. Seems to be gaining much more confidence going forward also.
  4. I actually laughed at that one..... oh woe woe woe..... (well ok, more a chuckle than a laugh....)

Well yes, thats a whole other arguement. While I may appear to be sticking up for their campaign, I dont for one second think they were right to leave the kids alone. Even if it was only 20yds away or whatever.
  6. Going out on loan to Sheff Utd???
  7. Sacking Souness didnt do NUFC any harm either as GR pushed us up the table and earned himself the manager job

I think the period when the media decided it would be of interest if they (the parents) were put in the targets due to fictional evidence, raised interest again. It seems to be roller coaster like. On another note, when this is concluded one way or another. I hope they use the fund to set something up to help other parents of missing children. To educate with their own experiences.

I agree in thats it cant be right that so many kids go missing and we dont hear a thing. Also, we couldnt have the same coverage about every child going missing or there would be nothing else on TV and papers would be ten times the size. It would also dilute the message. I dont know what the answer is, but while I sometimes skip reading the stories in the paper or dont always stay glued when the story latest is on the news, I cant persecute these parents for doing all they can to find their child.
  10. Mind you, Im not sure I agree with some people shouting at them and swearing. They ARE only kids. But the club should do something about it.

Like many point out, our position in the table doesnt show a true reflection due to the games played. Last season we finished on 43 points which was enough for 13th. I think the results are better season to date, but not on like for like games. Edit : Yes I was bored while waiting for my breakfast to cook
  12. See the pattern here though? Martins isnt getting the goals because he is either being forced out wide or the supply to him is non-existent. Smith isnt getting the goals as he spends his time trying to win or hold up the ball. Viduka often feeds off scraps and spends most time holding the ball up. Owen (when fit), struggles due to a drop in pace, however does have the brain just lacks the supply. Problem seems that most of our forwards are there to battle and set up the goals. But for who? the point I'm (badly, its early ok!) trying to make is that we need to look at the midfield somewhat to wonder whats up with the forwards. More so Martins and Owen.
  13. I wouldnt say that I think booting Sam is the answer. Its the easy option but not necessarily the right option. Since he came though, would we say the football or even the results are any better? Without checking, I'd say no at least for the results. The only thing that has perhaps changed (on the field) is that the quality of our squad is perhaps better and that we dont seem to have as much "dead wood". This said, it still is far from being good enough. Whilst initially happy at Sams first signings, Im becoming increasingly resigned to the fact that many are not right. Example Id give would be Barton (still has alot to prove), Geremi (after a good pre-season and withered to nothing, possibly due to being played wide more than anything), Smith (cant fault his commitment, but with what end result? clearly plays better up from than right midfield, but in being up front seeds to produce goals).
  14. Well I was there before the game. Other than the usual suspects who kicked this thing off many moons ago, I didnt have a clue by the end who most were

I know that hundreds of families loose children every year in what is a horrific situation. Because we seldom hear of any of them (or if we do its usually when the worst fears have been realised), but does that mean every situation such as this should be ignored as its the norm? Just because one family manages to have a media campaign doesnt mean it should be ignored or that campaign spat at - just because YOU are bored of it? Imagine how they fucking feel! If you dont like it, turn the fucking TV over. To switch off, isnt an option they have.
  16. The food served up is disgusting. At half time I went down and queued. got there and they had no pies/pasties. The burgers had only just been put on the shelf. Surely half time didnt take them by surprise? Anyway, bit into my burger and it was shocking. The amount of grease that dripped out. Anyway, I took it back and just said that for the money they are charging you'd expect something half decent. I didnt accept their offer of a replacement. As for the ball boys, getting more of a waste of time.
  17. Just how shit can this league really be? How the fuck we can be in 9th is astonishing. Cracks are not papered over by that, the whole bastard wall is rebuilt!
  18. Thought he looked canny when he came on like. Certainly compared to the rest of them today,
  19. My biggest problem with Martins is how easy he sometimes gives up. Usually if a pass is played over or wide from him.
  20. Just got back in the house from the game. It was shit. That is all.
  21. I wouldnt really call it a sick sex act or whatever? As said, its up to them, it happens all time behind closed doors. Not in my house like
  22. The Bridge to Teribithia (or summit) - Overall pretty shite, but passable as a lounging on the sofa all day watching shite tv film
